Just wanted to give everyone a heads up, as there is a new program on PBS in your area if you get it, called Country Music a documentary by Ken Burns... The same one that did The Civil War and Baseball... Its 16 hours long in two hour increment every day and if you like Country Music and want to learn about its history and roots, set your player to record... If you have ever seen the work of Ken Burn, you know its worth it, if not, you need to... Just a friendly reminder to those who might be interested... Brother Glen:)

Saw it. It was very good, but how do you do a whole two hour episode about country music songwriters and not mention Cindy Walker one time? That's a pretty glaring omission.

While the show was good, as a strict rocker, "Country" and "music" are oxymorons. There's "country" and there's "music". Not been any 'country music' since Hank Williams Sr. died Jan.1, 1953.
