Cowardice and Capitulation: The Shocking Things Chick-fil-A Funds

......For those defending Chick-fil-A and pretending we haven’t witnessed their progression of capitulation, the Salvation Army sees it for what it is, stating in a press release: “We're saddened to learn that a corporate partner has felt it necessary to divert funding to other hunger, education and homelessness organizations.” The Salvation Army does all three on a massive scale. But they don’t espouse an LGBT ideology.

In explaining Chick-fil-A’s funding decisions, Rodney Bullard, VP of Corporate Responsibility and Executive Director of the Chick-fil-A Foundation said: “We don't want our intent and our work to be encumbered by someone else's politics or cultural war. If something gets in the way of our mission, that is something that we are mindful of and cognizant of.”

Has their mission drifted way to the Left? Out with organizations that do not espouse a pro-homosexuality ideology and in with those who do, like Covenant House. Don’t let the Catholic association fool you, though. Covenant House, a homeless shelter for youth, takes pride in its promotion of all things LGBTQ. They even marched in the New York “Gay Pride” parade to show their inclusivity cred. Guess the Salvation Army (which admittedly has an issue with partially supporting abortion in cases of rape, incest and “life and health” of the mother) should’ve flown some co-opted rainbow colors to keep their hundreds of thousands in funding. Whoops. Looks like Covenant is the new Salvation.

Cowardice and Capitulation: The Shocking Things Chick-fil-A Funds

Chick-fil-A funds the deeply political YWCA, a radically pro-abortion and pro-LGBTQ organization that repeatedly partners with Planned Parenthood.

Chick-fil-A also funds the DC-based New Leaders Council that identifies as a “hub of progressive millennial thought leadership” which exists to “support one another along their individual path to a more progressive political and cultural landscape.”

Chick-fil-A has given a sizable donation ($50k) to The Pace Center for Girls, yet another pro-abortion organization. The education and advocacy group featured radical pro-abortion feminist Gloria Steinem (the “I Had An Abortion” activist who declared that birthing children is the “fundamental cause of climate change”) as their keynote speaker for their most recent girls’ Summit.

Or, how about Usher’s New Look, R&B star Usher Raymond IV's liberal non-profit? The group’s Disruptivator Summit is all about progressive community organizing on pivotal social issues, and Chick-fil-A funds it ($38,700 in 2017).

Chick-fil-A also gives tens of thousands to Chris 180 ($27,500 in 2017, $25k in 2019), a pro-LGBT behavioral health and child welfare service agency. The organization boasts of being awarded the “Leader in Supporting and Serving LGBT Families and Youth from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRC).” Nothing promotes human degradation quite like the pro-abortion HRC—the multi-million dollar LGBT powerhouse that recently pushed for the legalization of prostitution in D.C.

You can always love and serve the broken without affirming the brokenness.

And then there’s Junior Achievement (JA), which inarguably does some phenomenal work with education and entrepreneurship. They’re the recipients of hundreds of thousands a year from Chick-fil-A. In 2016, though, JA joined a coalition (Georgia Prospers) of pro-LGBT organizations in their “Too Busy to Hate” campaign to politically oppose religious liberty legislation (specifically the First Amendment Defense Act) from passing in Georgia.

So much for “not being encumbered by someone else’s politics or cultural war.” These groups, and many more funded by Chick-fil-A, are clearly political on the Left. Of course Chick-fil-A funds a lot of great initiatives, but they’re being publicly dishonest about their corporate evolution. And the millions of families who’ve supported them over the years, because of the fast food chain’s principled stand, deserve to know the COWardice that the company has shown in the face of LGBT activism.

As the truth comes out about all the questionable charities CFA gives to, it seems the defunding of the Salvation Army and Fellowship of Christian Athletes represented only the tip of the iceberg.

Just as in politics the Deep State exists, now we have the Deep Fried.... :)

And no, I haven't been back to the only CFA in our town since the initial SA/FCA announcement.

It's common for companies to donate money to their enemies, in an attempt to buy off their enemies.

Even though Christian websites often spin it differently, Chick-Fil-A caved to sodomites back when same-sex marriage was still up in the air. Now, Chick-Fil-A's capitulation is complete. It's time for all good people to no longer patronize that chicken place, unless you really do want only the second-based chicken sandwich in town vs. something better than a chicken sandwich.

Chick-Fil-A has been the most profitable (per store) restaurant in America. If they don't suffer a loss of business for their capitulation, every company in America will know that the they need, and only need, to serve the interests of the Left. Speaking of nazis and the Left, most people are very clueless how much harassment Chick-Fil-A has been facing from sodomites and the Left.

Even in this forum, some people witlessly believe that Chick-Fil-A ending their donations to organizations like the Salvation Army has nothing to do with the LGBT+ issue, and ignorantly think nothing more than a "contract" (there's no contract) expired with the Salvation Army.

Their places around here are so crowded that I just go on home so that I never ate their much anyway--last time about 4 years ago. I don't understand how they could give money to all those degenerates in the hopes of buying peace.

And let's not forget that they also give to the leftist, anti-Christian SPLC.

That alone got Chick-Fil-A on my personal boycott list. It's bad enough that the chain retreated from supporting Christian charities, but to support an anti-Christian hate group, the SPLC, is unacceptable to me.

Glad to know this bit of info. I typically don't eat there, even when I am near a Chick-fil-A, but I will feel less inclined to go there now. Does anyone know of a food chain restaurant which exhibits the proper Christian values? I will be happy to give them my patronage.
As it is now, I frequent Burger King, Taco Bell, Cracker Barrel, and Logans although I haven't checked to see who they may be supporting.
Maybe I should develope a more disciplined appetite and never leave the house on an empty stomach or else carry a bagged lunch when I go out.

I'll give the same response I have when people tried to shame me for eating at CFA because they of the so-called """anti-LGBT agenda"""--mmm, delicious chicken.
There is no ethical consumption under corporations. If you buy Nestle, for instance, you're funding child labor--and that's just one of the sketchy things.

Mmm. Chickem sammich.

This is disappointing news. At first, I tried to give them the benefit of doubt, they contribute to over 300 charities and not supporting anti-gay agendas is not the same as supporting it, BUT upon reading CFA's explanation consisting of that they are maintaining their values the logic just didn't add up and I agree with Huckabee's assessment:

“They surrendered to anti-Christian hate groups. Tragic,” Huckabee tweeted.

“Chick-fil-A has decided to allow themselves to be bullied, to allow their enemies — the people who hate them — to dictate where they give their money,” Huckabee said Tuesday on WVNN’s The Jeff Poor Show. “I’m going to be very clear — they have every right to give wherever they want. They don’t have to give at all. They can choose to give to the most liberal or the most conservative organizations. But I was very disappointed that not only did they eventually bow down to the bullies on this, but then they tried to cover themselves by talking about how they had just reevaluated their overall help for education, homelessness, and job help for kids. And I just think that is disingenuous.”

“The bottom line is they caved,” he added. “They surrendered. I wish they would just be honest about it and say, ‘Despite the fact that millions of people stood up for us when we were bullied before, and came to our defense because they protected our free speech rights and our First Amendment rights of association and religion, we’re going to bow down to the bullies anyway because we want to go into business in some areas where they might create problems for us.’ It’s just a sad day in America.”

Anyway, I took my kids to one that had just opened in town several years ago and I ordered the chicken nuggets and was very disappointed. Totally processed chicken, no taste, dry, and even the pop was flat. I did not eat there again until a couple years when I was in hurry to find some food and I ordered a chicken sandwich, this was pretty good, and real chicken breast! I ate there a couple times since. Oh well, I'm not into fast food anyway but they have taken away any motivation I would have to eat there if I were going to get some fast food.
