I'm already sick of the Cowboys. Even here every other thread seems to be about them. There are 31 other teams people!

I hear about the Cowboys everyday, reading about them isn't that bad, you get use to it.

From someone who follows the Yankees, Buffalo Bills and the Syracuse Orange - I have an ample supply of crying towels available for all you Cowboy fans.

I notice the Cowboys fans are strangely quiet this week...

Hey, they put up a good fight. Got to give them some credit for taking the lead briefly.

 

Fortunately, the Cowboys still have 10 games for the defense to improve before the playoffs start.

 

I am no where close to a Cowboy fan.

However, losing to the Pats right now is nothing to be down about. They are simply playing on a whole different level than the rest of the NFL.

 

The bears superbowl team couldnt keep the pats out of the endzone. they have the what I think may be the best offensive team in the history of the NFL. Great balance and with Brady having three fantastic receivers to go to - it would not suprise me to see them go undefeated.

The pokes played hard, thier own penalties killed them. Could not cover all the receivers

 

This makes the potential setup for New England at Indianapolis, on Nov. 4, look interesting. Indianapolis has games at Jacksonville (MNF), then at Carolina, before that date; and NE has games at Miami, then Washington at home. Obviously Indy has a tougher row to hoe before 11-4, but they can make it-- still be undefeated. NE's game with Washington may be that "trap game" before the 'big one'-- playing at home, against an NFC team, before the team they have come to consider their "rival." Indy has 2 tough games, both away, but this is the third straight year they have (probably 'will have') gone quite deep into an undefeated season campaign. I don't like either team, but if the setup comes through, it should be a better one than NE/Dallas last Sunday.

 

It's hard for a QB to throw touchdowns when he's being sacked repeatedly.

 

Let's not get crazy just yet. We are just a few games into the season.

Don't forget last year how good the Chicago Bears offense looked for the first few weeks and everyone was talking about them going undefeated and Rex as the MVP.

The Pats are playing great, and if they keep playing at this level the could go undefeated. But let's not crown them the best to ever play the game just yet.

 

Tom Brady is a proven qb - or at least those three rings tell me he is. In fact, if Brady were to retire today he would be a first ballot hall of famer - Rex, not so much. Brady has not had the quality receiver that he has this year, Moss when motivated, as he is this year is amazing. Solid to great TE, welker in the slot, and Brady's offensive line is solid enough that he has time to throw the ball. When Maroney gets back (this week?) they will have a running game to go with the passing game.

I think the Pats have a CHANCE to go undefeated, yea they have to get past Indy - who beat them in indy last year, but other than Indy, I dont think anyone holds a candle to them.

I dont think that there has been a better team in the salary cap era than who we are watching in the Pats this year

 

Kind of reminds me of the way that people were talking about the LSU Tigers after the first few games this season, especially their defense.
