Only Catholics go to heaven is a very old teaching. I was taught it by my mother prior to Vatican 2. At best, it is a bizarre holdover. Next thing they will be wanting masses in Latin!

There are radicals in every group of people. As for the Latin Mass you are too late, the Traditional Mass in Latin is alive and well and has been for quite some time now. For the Catholic purist it is available.

I visited the gravesite of Fr. Feeney at The St. Benedict Center in Stillwater, Mass. This order, along with at least three other orders in the immediate area had been ex-communicated from The Catholic Church for teaching Fr. Feeney's 'outside the Church, no salvation'. In fact, on his gravestone is inscribed in Latin, 'No salvation outside of the church'. All of the orders that were excommunicated were eventually brought back into communion with the church after recanting their strict teaching. The slaves of the Immaculate Heart had a house on what is called Monastery row in Stillwater and we're being encouraged not to fall back into teaching what the church does not. Apparently they are not in compliance.

Since the above is a papal bull, delivered 'ex cathedra' by a reigning 'pope,' presumably this group are following the dictates of their church whose motto is 'semper eadem'-- always the same.

I don't see anything wrong with that statement. Romans 13 is harsher.

Outside the church there is no salvation or forgiveness. That's true. Jesus is Catholic. If you think that means you must be catholic or you will be damned, your wrong. If we require that statement we will plainly say it.

Yes every human is subject to the pope. But if you think that means the pope comes and asks me to mow his lawn or give me all your money. Your wrong again.


This is just a matter of folks being shocked that the church of Jesus Christ acts as if it is the church of Jesus Christ.

LOL. I already said it doesn't mean if the pope demands you wash his car that you obligated to.

Again roman's 13 is harsher. Give me your interpretation of it or at least rip it out the bible.

It flat out says your rulers are ordained by God.

Everyone is subject to their local bishop.

Of course we all have direct access to God, but He also sent people here to lead us in our faith journey. St. Paul wrote letters to people instructing them what to do and telling them where they were going astray, and that process continued with new leadership by the "laying on of hands" (ordination) of the succeeding leaders of the Christian Church here on earth. Jesus just did not write a book and then expect people to figure things out on their own. No, that is an idea that flies in the face of the history of Christianity.
