The Bible says that God created the universe, and great variety is all throughout it, and everything in it accords with information. But if God is the author of good things in it, is he also the author of all information according to that which is good? Or did He render existence to things that already were in His mind from eternity past? And would this be His creativity, as God, who is omniscient, is eternal?

I would say in answer to the question posed by the thread title, that God is both Creator and omniscient. As to the question of whether His creation had been in His mind from eternity past, I don't think we are told specifically, but I think we can deduce that it was indeed "in His mind" from the fact that He is omniscient, so He would have known before it happened that He would create the universe.

Greetings Guido. Peace and love to you and your family.

When I read your OP, I thought of Molinism, Molinism centers around the concept of middle knowledge and attempts to reconcile God's sovereignty and human free will. I did a lot of reading on it as a younger adult (past and modern philosophers). The ultimate question for me ended up being...is there really a middle knowledge (counterfactuals) that really exist as eternal with God (outside of God). In the end, for me the answer is, no. I see no biblical reference to it not does the logic of it match certain things I biblically hold. So from that perspective of the omniscience assertion, i.e., middle knowledge. It would be 'creativity' (although I don't like the word).

Keep seeking God's truth as if it were hidden treasure.
