I don't know about you all, but I am so fed up with the GOP hypocrites. I doubt if I will ever vote for their ticket ever again should they continue to dump.on Trump and drive him out of the race. It seems that these "fools" think we the people don't know what is best for us. In fact they are taking it upon themselves to make sure a "worthy" conservative candidate, one that will bow and kiss the ring finger of those who helped put them in Washington.

Now, for Cruz ... Trump needs to do a Carly on Ted. Point out his face and ask, do you really want to see that face for four years in the Oval Office? Cruz is a pure politicians! He is so slimy, and untrustworthy. I mean to tell you, that had if the serpent had a face, it would have looked something like TRUSTed Cruz...

Who is a worthy conservative candidate? TRump? Yea right he has supported Harry Reid for reelection monetarily. He gave monetarily to Rahm Emmanuel you know the former Obama aid in his campaign for Chicago mayoral race. Both huge Liberal Democrats in fact as of 2011 with these men's campaign he gave also gave 1.3 Million to political support and of that 53% was to Democrats. That would $689,000 to support Democrats being elected Liberals. He also stated the Hillary would make a good President and that he is pro-choice, he changed that stance to run on the Republican ticket. I am not a part of the GOP establishment but I have done my research, my guy had to drop out not enough support but he knew what he was talking about. Cruz is truly conservative and has been attacked many times by the GOP establishment even gone against them on several compromise bills. While Cruz isn't the best choice he isn't a Liberal Democrat like Trump trying to pass himself off a conservative.

Federal Election Commission data shows that Trump donated to a multitude of Democratic candidates and affiliated organizations, including the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee: Hillary Clinton.

But it doesn’t stop there! Trump also donated to John Kerry’s Senate Committee in 2000 and later, the John Kerry For President committee in 2003.

In addition, considering all the aforementioned donations, it isn’t surprising that Trump also donated to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.

To be fair, Donald Trump has donated largely to both Republicans and Democrats, but the fact that he even donated to so many Democrats shows that he isn’t running based on fundamental policy positions, but rather for himself. Perhaps it’s to make more money or to feed his narcissism (or even both), but whatever it is, it only goes to show that nothing matters but the Trump brand.

And he calls himself a conservative Republican? He is Democrat through and through why isn't he challenging Hillary as a Democrat? Because the Democratic establishment found a way to have a Democrat as President either way, Hillary gets to run and they have their Trump card.

This is shameful. I hadn't planned to vote for Trump. But as an evangelical Christian, I also would not want to be associated with what the establishment of the GOP is attempting to do.

They fed him.
They egged him on with the birther stuff.
They didn't say much when he was trashing everyone.

It's only been since they figured that one of their glory boys wasn't gonna get the nomination that they've suddenly become stop Trump at all costs.

No need for any of this. I think if he stands firm and the establishment keeps trying to bring about a brokered convention, it'll take care of itself.

This is when you start looking at Senate and House seats. if they don't want to listen to their constituencies, vote em out of office and start anew.

They put up John McCain because it was his turn.
They put up the Mormon because he was such a "good businessman".

Now they don't want the businessman, Trump and are pushing an "anybody but Trump" campaign.

Cruz is the best of the field, the most conservative that has run for president since I could vote. I'm not even sure how to process the fact that a pastor is advocating for just insulting someone that they disagree with. That fact alone is a sad commentary on the day and age we live in.

I'm tired of hypocrisy in both major parties. I'm also tired of Donald Trump's hypocrisy. But our fatigue shouldn't force us to make incredibly bad choices for our nation.

Well for some Republicans, that might be the motivation, but I suspect that for most, they are terrified of having a candidate that is not conservative at all, but rather someone who is a fascist and a demagogue. He is NOT conservative because he wants to overturn the protections of the constitution including freedom of speech and religious liberty. More than simple concern for the nation, they also realize that allowing Trump to receive the nomination will gut the Republican Party. I, and many other voters who often side with Republican leadership, will absolutely desert the Party.

Let me be blunt - Trump supporters DON'T know what is best for the country and they need to come to terms with it eventually. Until they do, they need to be blocked. Moreover, they really aren't a majority in the Republican Party. The Republican Party has not given us any outstanding candidates this election cycle, but I think the other candidates are getting most of the numbers they are because people are actually voting against Trump, not for the candidates. If Trump is nominated, don't expect those otherwise Republican voters to vote for him. Careful polling has shown that they are, by-and-large, anti-Trump.

Speaking for myself, I will endure the shame of voting for Clinton and have another four years of mediocrity and corruption in order to oppose the abandoning of the American ideal in Trump.

No, not at all. But I am not going to give the Executive Branch to a fascist just to make a point to a Party that is about to self-destruct. The Republicans may not be around for the next election cycle - like the Whigs - and we'll have another set of issues to deal with.

If the Republican leadership can't sort things out quickly, they're done.

So no matter what the establishment is done after this election. The only choice is do they want to destroy their party in the process or have it remade stronger then ever?
I for one would rather see it remade, and I'd Trump is the nominee I will be writing in a candidate and be forever done with the GOP at the National level.

Trump states he is a "Presbyterian" but has also been linked to the "Reformed Church of America" or something like that. Let's look at an interview with Trump on the issue,

Cruz is Southern Baptist and aligns with the PRO-Life movement, he is against gay marriage and would be a proponent of prayer and seeking God's leadership.

So pray about who God would have you support if you haven't voted in a primary yet!

Actually I'm looking at his past actions not what he says. And I said nothing about saving America, I was talking about the GOP establishment. Now if we want to talk about lies and innuendo look no further then Trump.
Do I think Cruz is perfect? No. Do I think he is the best person to ever run for office? No. Do I think he will make the best president ever? No. Do I think he is the best conservative I have ever been able to vote for? Yes and that says more about the GOP then it does Cruz in my opinion. Now how would you answer the same question about Trump?
