Dad is not too happy with 57 year old dating his 17 year old so....

While I can certainly understand the fathers anger, he had no right to assault this man this way. Age of consent in Germany is 16, if I'm not mistaken, so it counts as consensual, unless the daughter comes forth with info otherwise.
Nor was it a crime of passion, as the father took the time to round up two accomplices to hold this guy down for the attack. Yes, the 57 yr old comes across as creepy and perverted, dating a 17yr old, but it was all under the law, from what I've seen.
So I can't support this dad in this. It was wrong. Both he, the daughter, and the 57yr old will be in my prayers. I think they may all need it.

If he had been doing his duty as a father, his 17-year-old wouldn't have been involved with the old man.
However, he's still the father, and if it were me, since the civil authorities wouldn't act, I would have simply warned the old man to lay off and warn him of swift, certain and severe punishment if he didn't.
He did what he saw was fit to do, and he's willing to do prison time for himself and for his mates, whom, by the way, he didn't give up.
Now, his daughter is free to "corrupt" the next much older man that comes her way. lol.

No doubt this girl has issues.
Her father would do better focusing his attention on her and getting her some help and guidance.
Instead he is probably going to be off to jail for a few years and won't even be around for her.
I apologize....I didn't realize the word reflects the action made on this guy...that was insensitive....:wavey:
