Daniel 11

I'm reading 1 Maccabees this week, and the commentary that is provided along with the text has a slant that the book of Daniel is referring to the Maccabean revolt (specifically in chapter 11). It also thinks the book of Daniel was written DURING the revolt, but set that aside, as nobody here (myself included) would agree with that.

However, I read Daniel 11 alongside it, and thought it was interesting. Does anyone think that Daniel 11 is talking about the Maccabean revolt?

Yeah, I think that is what it probably is about - Antiochus Epiphanes and all that.

True up to 11:36. Thereafter, the antiChrist is in view IMO.
