Tom, today I just reread Gordon MacDonald's book, "Ordering Your Private World." His final full chapter is entitled "Rest Beyond Leisure" and is a challenge for believers to take God's pattern in the creation of working six days and resting one. Every pastor and Christian worker ought to read it!!!

I haven't always been faithful in taking a day off, but I suspect I have been sharper and better able to minister when I have done so.

Some preachers I know would do well to take SUNDAY off!

And others, when it comes to consistent study time that is "guarded" and "regular" are off trying to become the next Tiger Woods!

I'm a church music minister, and we musicians have all Sundays and Holidays off, except for Sundays and Holidays.
