We always knew it had to be Robin...he even has a girl's name :)

This further cements my favoritism towards Marvel

Don't forget: the article says Marvel is having a gay wedding between two of its characters....

Maybe he can blame Poison Ivy, since she had him "hooked" by her scent....

Here we go now, even the comics are shoving the gay agenda in our faces now.

I remember an earlier comic of Batman admonishing Robin to quote:"never swerving from the path of righteousness". What a contrast eh?

Nothing surprises me any more. I use to think a very small percentage of Americans we gay, now I'm not so sure. I think homosexuals are coming out all over the place and that is why we are seeing all this stuff. We aren't in Kansas any more. It truly is Satan's world..and he can have it, Lord take us home.

From the article: "Marvel Comics will reportedly feature the first gay superhero wedding between Northstar and his boyfriend in next month's issue of Astonishing X-Men."

OK so are they gonna have a DC charterer who comes out as an adulterer? I'm not saying, I'm just saying .:saint:

I'm a huge comic book guy. I've been reading them for 20 years now. What I always liked about comic books were that if a certain book or company (neither Marvel nor DC is immune) wanted to force some kind of public issue down your throat, you had a lot of other options and could ignore it.

Green Lantern did it in the late 90's/early 2000's. I loved the book, but they wanted to force a gay character on me. I ignored it.

Certain runs of Avengers and Spiderman in the 2000's wanted to stuff politics down your throat. I ignored those.

But now this? According to Dan DiDio...it'll be a former straight character who hasn't been seen since the new DC Relaunch. Thankfully I know it won't be some of my favorite characters (Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Nightwing...who is formerly Robin)...but I think of a few of my favorites that haven't shown up since the relauch, and I hope that it's not one of them.

Homosexual's are a such a minority in this country but have such a loud presence that main stream comic books are willing to change for such a small group. I hope that Christians who read comics will not support this with their money so that DC (and Marvel) might take notice that we don't want to see this in comics.

Disgusting. More liberal indoctrination of our kids.

Sidenote: Since the mid to late 1960's, comics haven't been for kids. At least mainstream DC and Marvel anyways. If you are a parent and you are letting your kids read comics and you aren't reading what they read first, you aren't doing your job as a parent.

Let's clear the air here that this isn't just a "DC" thing.

Horrible acts of immorality have been going on for years in DC, Marvel, Image and just about every other publisher of comics.

You guys forget about Archie comics and their gay characters?

Batman had an illegitimate kid with a chick and now his son is the current Robin. Cyclops was cheating on Jean Gray with psychic Emma Frost for years in Marvel.

I don't understand why companies can't just leave this garbage out...which further goes to show that comics aren't for kids (I mentioned it just a few minutes ago).

Some years ago we were members of a church whose pastor believed the whole XMen series was nothing but an attempt to normalize homosexuality.

Actually, X-Men started off as a way to normalize racial differences; which is amusing, since most of its characters have been predominantly white. They added a Canadian, Russian, and an African (not exactly sure what African country she's from) in an attempt to show diversity. It has subsequently been used to normalize anything that's not considered "normal."

The thing you have to remember about comic books is that pretty much, none of the artists/writers/etc. in that business are Christians, much less professing to be saved. Not sure any of them profess any religion. Maybe Wicca. At least with movies, you can see the Catholic influences, even (especially?) when they get them so totally wrong.

What's sad is, depending on what's been read, in a lot of issues of superman you see his moral upbringing, and even thoughts of praying to "God"

No where else am I aware of the good Lord being mentioned in comics.

I'm less and less likely to read comics the more and more they bring this into it. It's becoming harder to ignore.

I did appreciate the quote from the Avengers movie: "There's only one God, ma'am; and I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that!"

Bobby I believe that Marvel's character "Quick Silver" had been outted in the mid to late '80s.
