...a "Health & Fitness" forum here?

There are many subjects I would like to discuss that would fit into such a catagory.

I wonder how others feel about this? Good idea?

You could always start a thread in this forum, and title it health and fitness, it could be on going like the coffeehouse threads.

True, but I’m thinking of many subjects such as: Cholesterol, Healthy Diet, Exercise Routines, Aging Issues, Allergies, Weight Loss…and much more that would need more individual topics. Also, …you never know…but there might be a little debate arise on some of these subjects…and I wouldn’t want them to be shut down “prematurely” …should that come up.

I think so. I’m really getting into this stuff while considering the phyical quality of life as one ages. Personally, I’m working on a “late life” career change; I’m going to college for Physical Therapy. I must pick a major soon which I think will likely be “Exercise and Wellness”. Recently, I went for my first complete physical a couple weeks ago and have a few things to consider. I also seem to have recently solved (on my own) a severe allergic skin reaction that has plagued me for about 8 years.

There is a weight loss/health thread in the women's forum, which is not for women only, men post there also. It covers much of this. I'll find it and bump it and you can take a look at it.

    EDITED=
I didn't see that thread, maybe it's been deleted because of inactivity. Prehaps you could start a thread to discuss the topics that interest you.

Come now...you don't expect me to post in the "women's forum", do you? ;)

Well, I would be waiting for Mr. Webmaster to give a yes-no-maybe so, but you don't seem to think I should be holding my breath...

Benjamin: I brought this to the attention of the mods and admins the day you posted it and started a thread in the mod forum. I even volunteered to be the mod of the new forum, since hubby and I have to adhere to different diets and exercise routines, as wells as aging problems.

I am not getting much interest in the thread I started, so I may write to the owner directly and ask if he could implement such a forum.

    Blessings,

As someone with a pretty good history in bodybuilding, fitnes, supplements and nutrition...I would love to have this forum. I would probably spend as much time in it as the theology one. I would even consider volunteering to moderate it if needed.

Why not? A lot of men do, even start topics there.

    I wouldn't if I were you.

Thanks for bringing it up and volunteering. Talking about and experiencing lifestyle changes can be very contageous. I hope you do write the owner.
