2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

2 Corinthians 5:5-8
Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: ( for we walk by faith, not by sight: ) we are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

1. There is a house not made with hands,
Eternal and on high;
And here my spirit waiting stands,
Till God shall bid it fly.

2. Shortly this prison of my clay
Must be dissolv'd and fall;
Then, O my soul! with joy obey
Thy heav'nly Father's call.

3. 'Tis He, by His almighty grace,
That forms thee fit for heav'n;
And, as an earnest of the place,
Hath His own Spirit giv'n.

4. We walk by faith of joys to come;
Faith lives upon His word;
But while the body is our home,
We're absent from the Lord.

5. 'Tis pleasant to believe Thy grace;
'Tis heav'n that grace to see,
When we are absent from the flesh,
And present, Lord, with Thee.
