What "decade in history" since the time of Christ would YOU loved to have dropped in and lived (then bailed back to 2004!)?

Elizabethan England for its cultural flowering and the Age of Discovery.

India under the rule of Emperor Ashoka in the 3rd Century.

Come again? What wars were fought under Edward VI?

I would have liked to hear Christ speak, and view the birth of the New Testament church. So between 27 & 37 A.D. Of course, I wouldn't have liked to meet Saul. I wouldn't want to be martyred before being able to come back to 2004.

Also, the time of the western expansion, any decade of years thet would coincide with the two years of the pony express. Right before trains.

Pony express ran right down my street, 40 feet from where I'm typing. Kid you not!

Of course it was just the CareY (CY) ranch road on the way to the bridge over the Platte back then. And on out to Independence Rock and South Pass.

Now it's CY Avenue. Blacktop and bustling. One of 3 main streets of Casper!

If I could go to any decade AD, I'd pick 3080. Just curious.

I know it's not history, yet.

Otherwise, I'd like to see the World's Fair of 1904.

Interesting thought - I am studying that area now for a doctoral dissertation.

In that case, I'm with Briony-Gloriana, or at least a decade before, say the 1890s. In fact, I was born 100 years too late. Wouldn't have liked all the diseases that were around then much though....

    Yours in Christ

Forget that, I would stay away from any war if I could. I don't want to get SHOT!!!

I think I would want to see Rome some time in the second century, perferebly when it wasn't being raised to the ground by barbarian invaders.
