Dem platform will support gay marriage

The Democrats' 2012 platform, to be adopted at their convention in Charlotte in September, will officially back gay marriage, Rep. Barney Frank told the Advocate in an interview Monday.

"Yes, it will be in the platform," said Mr. Frank, who is on the drafting committee. "I am in favor of it being included and it will be included."

President Obama earlier this year officially reversed himself and announced he backed letting gay couples marry, paving the way for the party's platform to embrace that stance.

A law signed by President Clinton defines marriage for the federal government as the union between a man and a woman. Mr. Obama has refused to defend that law in court — though House Republicans have taken up the task of defending it.

You may remember, Congressman Frank "married" his long time partner last month. Mr. Frank is a Democratic Congressman from Massachusetts.

But many democrats calling themselves Christians will vote for this party. It seems they prefer the grace of the omnipotent and beneficent Federal Government to the Grace of Almighty God!

Just another demonstration of their desire to embrace darkness and it helps give Christians a real choice. It is far from voting for the lesser of two evils when one side becomes more and more evil IMO.

"And the light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness apprehended it not' John 1:5.

Can they possibly be right with God?

I'm sure that I'll attract some heat over this one and be thought of as one of those "hate everybody" type of Baptists, but in all honesty, how can a person be right with God and support the Democratic Party? I sincerely don't think that it's even possible... Their entire platform is anti-God.

AMEN, AMEN and AMEN!!!!!

I have 'bout come to the conclusion that the Ds use the bible for their ideas - if the bible says "it" is sin, then "it" goes on their agenda.:BangHead:

I could find just as many "evils" in the Republican party platform, not to mention the fact that many Christians will vote for their current "presumptive nominee" even though his beliefs are anti-Christian. We do, after all, live in a fallen world.

Not really! Tell me, if you can, what is as evil is the slaughter of unborn children?

I am sure that Mr. Romney would disagree that Mormonism is anti-Christian. In fact the Mormons believe they have reestablished the "true" Church.
