It's a Fox story about Sen. Murphy of Conn. who thinks that (snip) (President Donald Trump) is bad Murphy just hopes that the unnatural democracy can hold together long enough for Biden to take over.

Now that Harry and Meghan have officially stepped down, perhaps it is time to revisit the idea of a Monarchy for the USA. Who knows, we might even get Canada to come aboard. :)

[Quick show of hands, if your candidate looses in the 2020 Election, who would be in favor of a Constitutional Convention to make Prince Harry King?]

Prince Harry is not even the head of his household, is he?

Remember that answer in 4 years when we are back with two even worse choices ... every election I keep thinking "it can't get worse" and then it does ...

It is not without good reason that they had to make it illegal to write in "Mickey Mouse" for political offices.

Trump is running for twelve more years so we are set until '32. Then it will be Jr.

Democratic senator warns democracy 'unnatural,' may not be 'permanent'

I wonder if he thinks that "natural" is a good thing. Walking on the earth with no shoes on is natural, but thorns and briars are also natural which makes "natural" impractical. Going to Hell is also natural because we are born into sin. Without the unnatural act of faith in the saving grace in our Savior, we perish.

Our democratic republic is certainly not a natural form of governance. It has to be nurtured along and defended at times. Anarchy is a natural way of life where greed is the rule and not the exception.

Attempting to interpret his statement, incoherent as it seems, he hopes the Dems & RINOs can stitch back together the deep state “democracy” Trump’s pro-America agenda is undermining; but should that fail, he is fine with other means of controlling and exploiting the populace, naturally.

Man rejected God's governance in the Garden of Eden, got kicked out, and mankind has been trying to re-establish Paradise ever since, thinking that if they can just get the governance part correct that they can succeed. Thus, the attempts at monarchies, dictatorships, republics, democracies, self-governance, collectivism, and on and on and on. All are doomed to fail to re-establish Paradise. The only way that Paradise comes back is when Jesus returns and ushers in the new heavens and earth.

I suggest reading David Lipscomb's, On Civil Government: Its Origin, Mission, and Destiny, and The Christian's Relation to It. What you are asking about is at the beginning of the main text of the book.

Oh, Church of Christ doctrine if government. No, thanks. I agree with the Baptist Faith & Message on government and war, etc. We have Disciples of Christ HQ here in Indianapolis and I have watched them go liberal in spite of the teachings of Campbell. Church of Christ in Indiana went Boston and started telling people what color socks to wear. They called it the shepherding movement.

Christians are not trying to re-establish paradise as the Church of Christ teaches--we are trying to cope with human nature after the fall. We cannot vote for a party that says that abortion is an individual choice.

From the Baptist Faith and Message:

XV. The Christian and the Social Order
All Christians are under obligation to seek to make the will of Christ supreme in our own lives and in human society. Means and methods used for the improvement of society and the establishment of righteousness among men can be truly and permanently helpful only when they are rooted in the regeneration of the individual by the saving grace of God in Jesus Christ. In the spirit of Christ, Christians should oppose racism, every form of greed, selfishness, and vice, and all forms of sexual immorality, including adultery, homosexuality, and pornography. We should work to provide for the orphaned, the needy, the abused, the aged, the helpless, and the sick. We should speak on behalf of the unborn and contend for the sanctity of all human life from conception to natural death. Every Christian should seek to bring industry, government, and society as a whole under the sway of the principles of righteousness, truth, and brotherly love. In order to promote these ends Christians should be ready to work with all men of good will in any good cause, always being careful to act in the spirit of love without compromising their loyalty to Christ and His truth.

Seems to me that to be consistent that you also could not vote for a party that allows fornication to be a choice and not outlawed. Even your beloved GOP doesn’t call for outlawing fornication.

Are you making an argument against celibacy? When the GOP says that one should not vote for a party that says that a woman has a right to choose an abortion, we are talking about the murder of an unborn child. The GOP, thanks to Reagan and others, is in line with the SBC, who say, " We should speak on behalf of the unborn and contend for the sanctity of all human life from conception to natural death."
