I know there are many who are tired of the worn-out and boring rhetoric of the left about the War in Iraq. So here is a nice dose of reality. ;)

Yup. And as they continue to try & re-write their own history, innocents die every day at the hands of muslim terrorists. They see Bush and his supporters as the enemy.

What did Bush lie about? WMD's? Go take a look at the video and see what the Democrats were saying in 1998. It was the exact same thing as Bush said. The Democrats lied / people died.

Not all Democrats are lying, let's be fair.

Joe Lieberman is saying some great things, lately. He's been my favorite politician for some time, now. He's got his head screwed on right, which is probably why Al Gore and some of the other dems keep throwing him under the bus.

Why do you let liberal Democrats who believed and said the same things as President Bush off the hook, Terry? You are not being fair.

I agree, the Democrats and Washington were presented with the same evidence that Bush was before the invasion. They lies, half-truths, etc. were coming from both sides, they all voted to support the invasion, they can't go back now and try to point fingers. Congressman Ron Paul tried to bring some common sense into the issue at hand before the invasion, but everyone on both sides of the isle were too busy acting out of fear of the terrorist in light of 9/11 with their knee-jerk reactions to stop and listen to common sense. Now the Democrats are trying to lay blame on President Bush, when he is no more at fault than they are!

    </font>[/QUOTE]Jamie,

That is certainly a fair critique of my conclusion. Therefore, I offer the following to you as further evidence of Democrats lies causing people to die:

    Madeline Albright covered by CNN

Bill Clinton Statements to the Joint Cheifs of Staff and Pentagon Staff

Now, it seems clear to me that either these Democrats really believed what they said back then, just as Bush did in 2003, or else they lied and people died.

Personally, I think they probably genuinely believed what they said back then, just as Bush did in 2003. The difference is that now they have turned it into a political issue by trying to rewrite history so they can destroy the president politically. That is all this is about. They don't care about Iraq. They don't care about the military. They don't care about America. All they care about is regaining control and power. Iraq, the military, and America are all nothing but pawns in their game. I imagine if the president ever did lose his spine and caved into their demands to leave early, the Democrats would be the first on the scene to document the certain slaughter that would result from it and condemn Bush for it. You can't please those who hate you. They must be politically defeated.

What is even worse is they have no real alternative plan. They also have nothing to offer. What would we do with a government run by democrats who have nothing to offer in the way of ideas or programs.Thier entire agenda is made up of negatives, half truths, left out truths ,and lies.

This is what President Clinton concluded in the article you provided:

What someone might think is true based on intelligence is not nearly as important as their actions based on that belief. President Clinton wanted to continue to let the inspectors operate. He said that they had done a great job.

Bush, on the other hand, started to plan the invasion of Iraq immediately after 9/11. It would have been nice to remain engaged ib Afghanistan and to capture bin Laden. But that wasn't Bush's primary objective. He wanted to invade and occupy the Middle East as per Wolfowitz's longstanding plan for U.S. world domination.

This ex-Marine concludes that it is time to withdraw from Iraq; that it is neither in our interest or the interest of the Middle East as a whole for us to continue to occupy that nation. Do you think President Bush is flexible enough in his thinking to change his position. Think of how different Viet Nam would appear to us now if we had left in say 1969 rather than 1973.

Does anyone really believe that we are making the U.S. and the UK safer by continuing this war? I believe we are making our home situation more dangerous every day we continue in Iraq. And we demonstrated w2ith the New Orleans hurricane fiasco that we can't deal with a true emergency.

Hawkish Democrat Calls for Iraq Pullout

House Democrat Who Voted for Iraq War Calls for Immediate U.S. Withdrawal

By LIZ SIDOTI Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON Nov 17, 2005 — An influential House Democrat who voted for the Iraq war called Thursday for the immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq, another sign of growing unease in Congress about the conflict.

"It is time for a change in direction," said Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., one of Congress' most hawkish Democrats. "Our military is suffering, the future of our country is at risk. We cannot continue on the present course. It is evident that continued military action in Iraq is not in the best interests of the United States of America, the Iraqi people or the Persian Gulf region."

Murtha estimated that all U.S. troops could be pulled out within six months. A decorated Vietnam veteran, he choked back tears during his remarks to reporters.

I think we should set up a permanent base, like we built in Japan, & Germany & the other countries we have flattened.

Bro. Curtis, this posting shows one reason I stand diametrically opposed to neoconservatism.

It's also called U.S. Imperialism and it's the main reason this administration has so dramically increased hatred of the U.S. worldwide.
