When Dems haven't got any legitimate points to make, they resort to name calling and distraction. It's just what they do. The strategy du jour has been to paint their idealogical opponents as terrorists, killers, and crazed arsonists. This bizarre course of action - coupled with their refusal to compromise - has succeeded in precisely nothing. - See more at: http://www.caintv.com/great-new-republican-web-ad-ta#sthash.baw1AQ0B.dpuf

CBT's posts of late are good examples.

This is the first time in years I have watched CSpan briefly. One night, it might have been the night before the shutdown, a Congressman from California, Democrat of course, accused the Tea Party of committing jihad. I do not recall his name. He is on the TV quite regularly, white haired guy.

Same guy tried to use that word on Neil Cavuto's afternoon program on FNC the other day, and Cavuto cut him off. He told him if he couldn't discuss the subject without using epithets designed to paint his opponents in an extremely negative light, and subliminally demonize them, he couldn't talk anymore.

A member on this board accused the GOP of kidnapping. It is getting real bad.

Like a member of this board calls liberals race baiters? Or how a member of this board calls the President the Great Pretender? Or how the new hot term ---schoolyard bully---with members of the "conservative" media gets bandied around?

Socialist anybody?

Republicans and their allies regularly demonize Democrats as Marxist communists who want the nation to go into decline, who want to create a mass of people who are dependent on government aid.

Each side's partisans are outraged at the name-calling coming from their opponents while deaf to the name-calling from their own mouths.

The GOP does the same name calling that the Dems do.

A note to Great Pretender supporters: Name calling will not get a response from the rest of us. Blasting us with outrageous nonsense about the Republicans being "kidnappers, jihadists, terrorists, arsonists" etc., will result in complete non-responsiveness from the rest of us. So if you have anything substantive to contribute, by all means do so. But if you can do nothing but denigrate your opposition -- in the exact same fashion your dear leader does -- prepare to be left in a cone of silence all by yourselves.

Discuss the issues intelligently -- and believe it or not, we have -- or shut up. Your call.

(The above is exactly what Boehner et al should tell the Senate and the White House.)

Liberals are trying to ignore the violent nature of the rhetoric which has nothing to do with the normal rhetoric.

And the Dems need to hold a press conference where they say:

" To the GOP, conservative talk radio, Fox News and all other conservative news outlets that repeat what is said by Sean and Rush and given a nice partisan headline by Drudge, we are not Marxist communists or socialists who want the nation to go into decline by increasing the mass of people who are dependent on government aid.

So if the GOP has anything substantive to add to the discussion other than pretending like they are taking the high road while CONSTANTLY doing the very same things they accuse Democrats of, then we can have a discussion".

While so called conservatives are trying to feign ignorance of their own name calling rhetoric.

....but the GOP needs to do likewise and let the public know they are not "terrorists" nor are they on a political "Jihad!"

the President is a Marxist. That is not a pejorative intended to slight him it is a fact that expresses his political views. Saying that does not even compare to the violent language that is being used by Democrats and by at least one poster on this board.

This type of justified hypocrisy is precisely why folks view the church and the GOP the way they do today.

"Ours pejoratives don't measure up to yours so we can say what we want but you shouldn't be able to say what you say."

Sheer hypocritical stupidity and probably why so many folks everyday are writing the church and the GOP off. Just sad yet the justifying continues.

Beyond a shadow of doubt.

:applause:

And just as you all feel justified in making the statement that he is a Marxist, the Dems and liberals feel justified in calling conservatives and members of the GOP terrorists, kidnappers and jihadists.

Praying this nation is delivered from this man who is not anywhere near what he claims to be.

And I'm praying that Christians become more concerned with preaching the Gospel than they are with preaching their own partisan politics.
