Denver Must sees?

How about good food? Casa Bonita.

 

You "must see" Denver from the air traveling to someplace else. If you want to see Colorado, go to the Western Slope.

 

See how long you can go without clenching your jaw during rush hour traffic. It's just like rush hour in all major cities, but without those pesky multiple roads, so you have longer to enjoy it.

Seriously though, any big city has a botanical gardens to visit and it is always beautiful and fair priced. If you're visiting a resident, cities have free days for residents for those, zoos, and some museums (depends how they're funded) so at least a portion of your group can get in free to this stuff.

Parks are great in beautiful states (and Colorado is gorgeous) with the added benefit that anywhere I have lived, save one area, there are always free concerts held in parks. You just have to figure out where they are being held. Sometimes you have to ask, sometimes it is online at the park site or a city events site.

Depends on what you like to do. We're good with music, art, and libraries while climbing an occasional mountain because we saw a bunny or want a good picture or it would be fun to sing a psalm from way up there. I understand we're also not normal.

 

The Museum of Natural History and Zoo are close together. Be sure to go up to Look Out Mtn. overlooking Denver, and it is the site of Buffalo Bill's grave. See Red Rocks amphitheater

If you have time, a day trip to Evans Peak, one of the 14,000 footers, and a paved road all the way.

 

Casa Bonita and Good Food do not belong in the same sentence. Hahaha.

Another fun thing to do is the Denver Mint. No free samples however.
Visit the 16th Street Mall. Catch a game at Coors Field and watch the Rockies lose. Denver Zoo is nice. So is the Science Museum. Go check out the dinosaur footprints at Morrison, just west of town near Red Rocks Amphitheater. Drive 60 miles and see Garden of the Gods. Ride the Cog Railway up Pikes Peak, or the Georgetown Loop Railway, both not all that far away. Go see St. Mary's Glacier. Botanical Garden is great.
