Derek Chauvin - 21 years by Federal Judge

So what "civil rights" were violated? I'm confused.
I didn't follow the federal trial regarding the violation of civil rights, but my guess would be..." the right to life."

Now, I think George Floyd would have died anyway, had Chauvin not had his knee on Floyd's back, after Floyd said he couldn't breathe. I think the drugs Floyd ingested were lethal. But, Chauvin was negligent and the jury of his peers decided this sentence. According to the law of the USA, Chauvin is getting the punishment written out in the guidelines. I hope that Derek Chauvin becomes a Christian while in jail. God has done might work inside jails for 2000 years.

I think Mr. Chauvin was guilty of some crime for his part in the death, but I also think he is being used as a scape-goat, to absolve that police department for not pulling him off the hand-cuffed suspect.

There was no federal trial. He pleaded guilty to civil rights violations.

Most sentences run “concurrently”. Occasionally they run “consecutively”. If the first, the federal time is counted while serving state prison sentence (or versa vice). If the second, once he finishes state time, he will go to federal prison.

peace to you

Yes, the terms will be served Concurrently. I also heard that he is in isolation.

AND THE point of that video?

Just a point of character. The cop's character probably isn't much better if at all.

If I thought this case was about justice I would probably feel differently but I do not believe it was about justice. Was what the cop did just. No I do not believe so yet I bet it wasn't the first time he had used that method of restraint. I also do not agree with using so method. I am also not sure justice is served by jailing him for 21 years.
