    Despite Call to 'Ban Muslims' From America, Donald Trump Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize

    Donald Trump may have lost the Iowa Caucus, but the presidential hopeful has scored another win with a nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize.

    The Republican presidential candidate— who has publically called for a ban on Muslims and said Mexicans were “criminals and rapists”— is being nominated for one of the most prestigious awards in the world.

    He was nominated for “his vigorous peace through strength ideology, used as a threat weapon of deterrence against radical Islam, ISIS, nuclear Iran and Communist China.”

    Other nominees for the 2016 Nobel Prize are Pope Francis, Angela Merkel and the Greek islanders helping migrants and refugees.

    The nomination was proposed by a group of university professors. The prize itself can be shared by a maximum of three laureates.

    This isn’t the first time someone controversial has been nominated; Benito Mussolini was nominated in 1935, Adolf Hitler in 1939 and Joseph Stalin was nominated twice in 1945 and 1948.

    Just two years ago, Vladmir Putin was nominated for the prestigious award.

    Past winners of the Nobel Peace Prize include Nelson Mandela, Barack Obama, Malala Yousafzai and Archbishop Desmond Tutu .

    The winner will be announced in October.

    I shouldn't be surprised. I mean, Obama actually received this award.

    But really, I'm just shaking my head. Just like I did when Obama received it....

    I think everyone knows my thoughts on Donald Trump. It's inaccurate to say that Trump wants to "ban Muslims" from America. He wants to discontinue immigration of Muslims to America. He does not want to round up all the Muslims and deport them.

    As to Trump winning the Nobel Peace Prize, I just can't fathom it. If he does win it, we might as well consign the award to triviality.

    It usually goes to leftists. Kinda makes me wonder if Donald's got a hidden agenda that they know about and we don't.

    Still shaking my head at this one. I remember thinking, like a lot of folks I'm sure, "Nobel Peace Prize for what? He hasn't done anything yet."o_O

    The car wash in my town gives Nobel Peace Prizes if you buy 4 car-wash tickets.

    Even Southern Baptist Russell Moore now admits that Trump only called for a temporary halt on Islamic immigration until we sort things out. I think that even in the white socialist paradise of Norway they got tired of the rapefugees and hence the ill-deserved nomination.

    It probably will end up in the hands of the Peronist Pope Francis to further his fascist dreams.

    Trump may get the Nobel Prize as a consolation prize for being in the same IQ bracket at the President.

    Well, if there are much fewer muslim immigrants coming in, then this reduces the likelihood of violent jihadists sneaking in, which reduces the likelihood of terrorist attacks on our soil, which increases the likelihood of peace. How can one argue with this logic. Cool
