Isaiah 10.18
18."And He (GOD) will destroy the glory of his (Israel's) forest and of his fruitful garden, both soul and body..."
I always was puzzled by one statement, and no matter how I understand it, it seems right in both ways.
Luke 12.4-5
4."I tell you my friends, do not fear those who kill the body and after that can do nothing more.
5.But I will warn you whom to fear, fear him who after he has killed has authority to cast into Hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him!"
If Luke talking here about GOD, indeed, GOD has authority to kill physical body and also soul by casting it into Hell.
And so is the Satan to some extend, Because Satan can kill also, he can kill physical body and he can kill also a soul of a person whom Satan tempted and took under his control. And so, those who took his side also have possibility to be cast into Hell with him.
On the other hand, Satan himself actually does not have authority to cast anyone into Hell, unless GOD permitted him, but he certainly can lure, entice, tempt, and attract many people on his side and eventually lead them into the lake of fire.
So according to capabilities of GOD and Satan, I would assume that Luke 12.4-5, most likely talks about GOD and not Satan, if take to consideration Isaiah 10.18, because it directly stated that "He will destroy...both soul and body..."
Destruction of the soul actually means the Second Death, recorded in Revelation 21.8.
Revelation 21.8
8."But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the polluted, the murderers, the fornicators, the sorcerers, the idolaters, and all liars, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the Second Death."
The first death is the death of the physical body, the Second Death is the death of the soul in the burning lake of fire.
So it seems that Second Death is the final death, after which no existence of the soul in any form is present - the end of actual life.
