Yes, it was a hoot.

The guy from Comedy Central wasn't even funny and was downright mean, insulting, and IMO, evil. Reminded me of the Coretta King funeral and the fellow that hurled the insults there. Disgusting.

Yep a real disgrace Colbert putting the media and Bush on the spot with the truth like that. Public displays of courage like this shouldn't be tolerated in America. The secret service should have drug him out and locked him in a free speech zone and charged him with attempting to influence the mass media into growing a backbone.

Hey did anyone see how Colbert roasted Bill Kristol in his interview? Kristol said he was speechless. These neocons aren't used to having the truth thrown at them in public. Colbert won't last much longer. Here's the clip.

This wasn't a funeral, it was a roast...you're supposed to say mean things at a roast.

 

But you're supposed to say mean/funny things.

Heck, Bush was funnier than Colbert.

 

But Colbert was truthier.

For instance, his mock indignation at those who say that the recent Whitehouse shakeup is merely rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. He said, "That's all wrong. This administration isn't sinking. It's soaring. If anything, it's like rearranging the deck chairs on the Hindenburg". [paraphrased]

Compare that with Bush's "I'm just relieved I survived the shakeup". Which do you think will be remembered ten years from now?

Actually, I thought Colbert had far more wit and symbolism, while Bush was more good-natured.

I like Colbert a lot and have been watching him for years. Great actor, funny guy.

I felt bad for him Saturday night. It was awful.

It's funny on the Colbert Report, but I guess it just doesn't translate well to that setting.

I did like his one joke, "I believe that the government that governs least governs best. And by that standard, the war in Iraq has been a tremendous success".

For those of you who thought he was "mean", have you ever heard what Bob Hope said about some presidents? He was brutal.

Just downloaded the video of Bush and...er...Bush ( ) together Seems ol' Dubya has a bit of a sense of humour himself. Maybe joining in sending himself up he realises what a clown he is.....there is hope yet!!

Funny isn't it, the bloke has been ruler of the world (or figurehead of the rulers of the world...whatever) for a few years and I finally find something I like about him Maybe because self-depreciating humour is such a big part of Aussie culture.

 

I think it's sad that a globalist posing as POTUS has to use this kind of obvious PR to try and win back the hearts and minds of Americans. It's sadder still that some Americans are buying into this ploy. The guy and his little group of traitors should be doing hard time behind bars not doing stand up in front of the globalist controlled CFR media.

In my mind protecting America is more important than building a global empire for a few elite using our money and military. It's to bad Saddam had to be invented by the globalists in the first place. BTW, these guys swore to protect and defend the U.S. Constitution, you don't do that by undremining it, getting rid of the first fourth and fifth amendents, illegaly spying on American citizens in their own homes, doing away with property rights then telling our police forces that property rights activists are terrorists and building an atmosphere of fear and intimidation by the feds. Not to mention push and pass every piece of globalist legislation and law on the American people (and world),(in case you hadn't noticed the same legislation is being installed globally not just in America) to destroy this great country and make us subservient to unelected "officials" in a regional government.

You need to wake up and smell the coffee. Stop buying into the one worlders PR or America as you knew it is going to morph into a third world police state. Complete with UN peackeepers raping and rampaging all over this land. Or is that what you think America is all about?
