Will it shake you up to find life other than on earth then?

Intelligent life? Yes. The other places in the universe were made for those of us on earth, not for some other race of beings.

Genesis 1:14-18 And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.” And it was so. And God made the two great lights—the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night—and the stars. And God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness.

Would finding microbes alive on mars bother you?

Possibly. I seriously doubt any such discovery will be made in my remaining lifetime, if such even exists on another planetary body.

Angelic life, yes. I believe the universe is home to the innumerable created heavenly beings (angels, cherubs, heavenly creatures, etc.). I think they've enjoyed the splendor of the universe long before we discovered it with our telescopes and travel to its edges in the blink of an eye.

I doubt there is oxygen breathing carbon based life elsewhere in the universe. There could be I suppose, but I think earth has been designated for these.

If there were, they would be sinners, and so Jesus weould have had to die by becoming on of them, so would say no to intelligent alien life!

I'm not sure I'm following the point. Only humans are sinners. Do you believe animals are sinners? Do you believe plants are sinners? Bacteria? And some angels are sinners, some are not. Please clarify.

I was talking about sentient humanoid beings, flesh and blood like us, as the Fall would have affected all creation, and thus Jesus would have had to come in their form and die for their sins also.

No, not in the least. If God created us and this massive universe, there could be other universes and life forms - the possibilities are endless. Haven't you ever watched Star Trek?

Did you see the recent story about that aircraft carrier battle group that was being shadowed by some sort of flying object? It performed maneuvers that the air vehicles we have invented just can't do, plus there is video taken by one of our fighter aircraft - the thing even cloaked itself.

Well the world is chomping at the bit to want to announce they've found life in the beyond. I think with this latest Mars report it's something like the building blocks that potentially create life but they'll push it as life. As to will it shake me up if other life was discovered or revealed itself? Well who knows? It may not bother the Christian world but maybe secular individuals will be upset. Just joking but perhaps aliens will say, "What do you mean you crazy, unwise humans? You mean you all don't worship God daily and serve Jesus Christ? That's the foundation to even be considered being enlightened or civilized!" I suppose NASA then or the science types will want to shut them up right quick! Yeah SETI turn off those radio telescopes immediately! :Cool

As for me I can never really get into watching Star Trek. It seems too much like a Halloween costume party. :Cool

i don't think the universe was created for these type of beings. I believe the vast majority of the universe was created for heavenly beings like angels.

I would tend to place nearly all "real Ufo" activities under demonic activities!

The glory of the Creator seems to be that he made man ALONE is his own image, and that the Universe was created for us to inherit as our playground!

Or perhaps is both fallen and unfallen angels. I don't see any reason to believe only the fallen angels enjoy the cosmos.

Fallen Angels and satan will be forever confined to the lafe of fire, so no real enjoyment there!
