Just wondering if Arkansas' upset of LSU save Houston Nutt's job?

I personally do not care if he stays or goes....but for the sake of our resident Hog fans around here I hope he stays, I mean they gotta have something to complain about each week, right? :)

I think Nutt wants out, actually. IMO, he's just waiting for the buyout.

One win does not make a season. A very large portion of the fanbase is fed up with Nutt. If he is smart, he'll use his improved resume to take the job at Baylor or somewhere else.

It was! I was jumping up and down as Richardson made that interception to win the game.

I was riding a wave until it set in that if we could do that, we could have beaten all of the teams who beat us.

Why would he want to stay! If I knew they wanted him out, they really wanted him out!

Much like Tuberville, I believe Nutt will go where he is wanted. There are offers that will be out there. Still, Ark was his dream job. How can you walk away from your dream job?

If he wins the Cotton Bowl (Which is Ark's likely destination), will he be forced out?

Baylor, Neb, Col St, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, and Michigan all are in need of coaches (as of right now). Something tells me that someone will want Nutt...maybe. Then again, he brings some baggage that may or may not be of his own doing.

Les Miles has the inside track at Michigan. A&M wants Tuberville. Nebraska once wanted Nutt and Nutt did not exactly turn down the overtures. I can't help but think Neb might throw money at Tuberville. Had Saban not crashed and burned, his name would be thrown around too, given his propensity to love to move around.

YES! FREEDOM! Now the fan base doesn't have to be so divided.

So who will be on the short list to replace him?

I;ve heard that UT's OC David Cutcliffe AND UT's DC John Chavis will be on their list. I don't see either making the move, but if one did, it would be Cutcliffe.

Could this hamper Ark's once lock on the Cotton Bowl? Rumor was the Cotton Bowl would excercise its option on the SEC champ game loser if Nutt was out at Ark.

Oh well. I'll trade the Cotton Bowl gladly for a potential of a BCS game in the future.

I think that LSU will go to the Cotton Bowl if they don't beat the Vols.

I would think that more likely...

    LSU-Sugar
    Georgia -BCS at large
    Tenn- CapOne

His win over LSU can be compared to the sinking of the Titanic

The Bilge pumps only "bought" the ship "minutes" above the water---the win is the Bilge pump that bought him a few extra minutes as coach

His win over LSU only lasted as long as the day's Sports Section in Little Rock---tomorrow---his win over the Tigers will be old news---new news will be----his fireing!!!

Coaching is like pastoring a church----shoot---I ain't gonna stay where I'm not wanted!!!!!

No sacrifice it too great for the sake of the Gospel. They may have to twist my arm but I'd take that salary if they insisted.

I think what Hog fans want is to be an elite team in the SEC and to compete with the likes of Florida, Tenn, Auburn and LSU for National titles.

However, the problem is I just do not see it happening. But since I am a Big Ten and Big 12 guy, what in the world do I know...
