    Of course he did, on the Damascus Road.

    Then he told about it here:

    Php 3:4 Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:

    Php 3:5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;

    Php 3:6 Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.

    Php 3:7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

    Php 3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

    Php 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

    Php 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

    Php 3:11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

    Yep. He got over it. He counted it as dung.

    Perhaps I did not ask the question well. I know that he "got over" being a Pharisee in the way you describe and I agree with you. What I was intending to ask was did he ever completely get over having an attitude similar to that of the Pharisees in his views on how we should live? Rules we should follow? Attitude toward others? I am simply curious, not looking for a fight.

    We have a large spectrum of attitudes among Believers today that ranges from very rule oriented to those not as concerned about rules but about how we treat others; from those who believe it has to be my way or no way to those who believe that there is room for various beliefs among true Believers.

    I hope this makes my question clearer.
