DLP/LCD Projectors

    Does anyone here have any suggetstions on where to buy a DLP/LCD projector for a church? Any model recommendations or warnings would also be welcomed.

    TigerDirect.Com is my first choice when starting a technology search...

    Make sure the bulb is bright enough for your church... If you have a lot of stained glass or a morning exposure... Then you may not be able to see the display...

    Check the expected life for the bulb used in your 'desired' model... Replacement cost... and, if availablt the MTBF, (Mean Time Between Failures)

    Always have at least one unused (but tested) bulb (set)
    available...

    Other things to look at is what are you going to 'drive' it with? DVD, VHS, Computer or combination of all three... Make sure it has the inputs you need... (Most do, but look anyway.)

    Mounting options... Will it adjust for a proper display if mounted the way you plan to mount it... Upside down vs. rightside up.

    Lens options... Will the lens focus at the distance you plan to mount it at...

    Might also compare "Long's Electronics"... I haven't bought there myself so I have no experience...
