was it really 'Judicial hardening" by God John recorded throughout his Gospel, especially in Chapter 6/8? same for paul in Romans 9-11? Specific"only" tot he Jewish nation at that time, or a general state for ALL people concerning their natural spiritual state apart from Christ?
