I had a deacon ask me for prayer requests for myself and my wife. I responded by e-mail. In that email to the deacon, what I could be praying for him and his wife, in general and not giving away confidential information.

For these kind of spiritual leaders, do they see it as a one-way street just getting prayer requests or praises from the congregation but not receiving any or many requests of them from individual members.

    Thanks for reading, mr. messy.

Mr. Messy again, I failed to re-read it. I should have said "What could I be praying for him and his wife, in general.."

    Thanks again.

I hope that I got the gist of what you are asking....... [IMG]

I have several people at church who will ask me what they can lift to the Lord for me......

I am always thankful that they love me enough to ask, and I am thankful that they do pray for me.

Without prayer and the leading of the Holy Spirit, I know that I can do nothing.........

I don't think he would be insulted with your asking for his prayer needs; we all need prayer!

As men, we often are reluctant to share and devulge our needs. Asking for prayer may be like admitting a weakness to some...yet again, we all need it.

We have a ministry in our church called, Pastor's Prayer Partners.

We pray for the specific needs of our pastors.
Each week the individual pastors write a letter with specific requests for that week.

Each Friday morning the deacons meet to pray for our personal needs and the needs of our ministry.

I'll take all the prayer that can be offered up on my behalf to my Lord.
