I also wanted to check the box for "Angels provide protection" but your survey only let me pick one.

Only 1 option? That wasn't planned. My mistake.

@ claudia

I don't know.
I think baptists are very conservative about a lot of things.

Baptists believe that Angels are messengers. <---- Oops!

Thanks, SBC. I needed to adjust that to concur with your response.

Yes, I believe in experiences with angels.

Hebrews 1:14 "Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation."

Sounds to me that they are more than just messengers...

I know a preacher, Randy Bird, who tells a story about his last drink. He was saved, yet running from the Lord, and crippled himself in a drunk driving incident. While he laid on the side of the road, (he was in rural Texas at the time) a man, wearing jeans, boots, and a tan Carhartt jacket walked out of the woods, and directed traffic around him, so no cars hit him in the dark. Of course, when the rescue teams arrived, no mystery man was seen.

This preacher was either hallucinating, or had an angel watching over him.

I suspect I had an experience with an angel back in the 1980s. I was in bed asleep when something or someone patted me on the back of the head. I have a cat, but it felt like a hand, not a paw. I turned around, didn't see anyone, and saw the clock and that I will be late for work if I didn't get up quickly. I got up, got dressed, and went to work and arrived there on time. Whoever that was didn't want me to be late for work. :godisgood:
