Do YOU have a miracle healing to share?

One that always comes to mind is when my hubby had the flu, you know, had a fever, laying in bed, just felt terrible. My son and I went in the bedroom to see how he was feeling, and he was so frustrated because he hated feeling so bad. He can't stand to be sick. My husband said let's pray...we did and Jesus immediately healed him! Right then, the fever was gone and he Praised Jesus the rest of the night! You should have seen my husband. I mean we were in complete shock. LOL We just didn't expect that would happen...even though we know Jesus can do anything He wants. God is Truly AMAZING! AMEN?! \O/

I don't know why Jesus chose that time to do that and not others....it's a mystery to me.

Kids are a handful that is for sure.

My sister and I are Swedish "twins" (less than 1 year apart) so we are the same age for a little more than a month each year. When we were at the age of 3 my mother was already preparing for baby-number-3. We took a ride in the car one day and as the car turned a corner I decided to "hop out". My mother did not notice "immediately".


Once out of the car I got up and began to chase down the family. That was a mistake according to the drunk driver coming from behind. No skid marks before impact - he did not get to the brakes before he got to me.

My father was a doctor and knew what "bad was" when the other doctors were telling him about his son lying in a coma and the slim-to-none chance that I would survive. And then there was "even if he did survive it will be a difficult life".

My parents went to our local church and asked for earnest prayer. God did a miracle then.

When I woke I was paralyzed on one side - but in a few months that left and I have been ok since. I see the family pictures from those days and can remember very little of my parents teaching me to walk again or helping me as I regained full use of my right arm and right leg.

Thank God for answered prayer and Godly parents and a praying church family.

About 10 years ago in our home school ISP there was a mother of several young children who had just given birth. Toward the end of her pregnancy she had experienced some difficulty breathing but just thought it was from the baby growing larger. A couple weeks after the baby was born when she was still feeling it and started to feel very tired and just not very well, she went to the doctor. They did some tests and at that same appt. an oncologist came in and told her she was in the next to last stage of Hodgkin's (or non-Hodgkin's - can't remember). He told her it was very grave at this point and any treatment they might decide to do would only buy her a little time. He handed her a box of kleenex and said all he knew to do when he saw cases such as these was have the patients cry it out, go home and get their affairs in order, and enjoy being with their family. Then he left the room. Imagine!!
She had the diagnosis confirmed and started chemo, I believe it was, to "buy some time". A call for prayer went out througout the state's homeschooling community and our churches.
She started doing better and at one appt a few months down the line where they did tests nothing showed up - anywhere. The doctors said they couldn't believe it. She was completely healed.

 

If y'all have seen somone with a missing arm or leg suddenly grow another one-- something along that line-- I may consent that's a miracle. But these stories so far are entirely within natural means of accomplishment.

 

A Tale of Two Hearts

Once upon a time, (June, 1961 to be exact) a little girl was born. She was of normal size and weight and generally healthy, but her parents worried because she didn’t grow as quickly as they thought she should. Her mother would ply the doctor with questions, but he told her not to worry. “She’s just petite. She’ll grow when she’s ready.”

At the age of five she started kindergarten, just like all the other children in her neighborhood. But unlike the others, she weighed only 25 pounds, and wore a size 2 dress to school. Still the doctors said, “Don’t worry. She’s just petite.”

During Christmas break of that school year the little girl experienced her first plane trip. She and her Daddy flew from New York to California to visit her grandparents. Grandpa had had a heart attack and the doctors told him to get his affairs in order because he had no more than six months to live. She didn’t understand this, of course. She knew Grandpa was sick, but mostly she was excited about this special trip with her Daddy.

Grandpa didn’t die in six months. He had a long recovery, but was secure in the knowledge that many Christians were praying for him and that his fate was in God’s hands. He devoted his time to study of the Word and service to God. He watched his diet and exercised regularly. He rested when he needed to and worked when he could. He had a number of heart attacks over the years, some of which were quite severe.

So her Grandfather was still alive in 1968 when the doctors finally realized why the little girl wasn’t growing as she should. He who was told that he was expected to die over a year ago was now told that his granddaughter might die. In addition to her lack of growth, she had begun to exhibit other troubling symptoms. She was almost constantly sick and infections were difficult to overcome. She had no stamina, and became dizzy and overly fatigued often. The problem was a heart murmur.

Heart murmurs are not really uncommon the doctors explained. Many people are born with leaky heart valves or small openings between the chambers which sometimes heal. If the openings are small then the person suffers no ill affects at all. The little girl’s mother had such a murmur.

However, sometimes the defect is too large or, as was the case with the little girl’s heart, would grow bigger. If something were not done, she would die. The doctors scheduled her for surgery in two weeks.

Looking back from the perspective of the 21st century, this doesn’t appear to be such a scary thing. Heart surgery is fairly common. But in the 1960’s it was far from routine. Open-heart surgery was only attempted in the most desperate cases, as it was often fatal.

Immediately the little girl’s parents and grandparents began to pray for healing. They asked everyone they knew to pray as well. At church the next Sunday the little girl was brought to the front where the elders laid their hands on her and the entire congregation joined in prayer.

On the day before the scheduled surgery, the little girl and her mother went to see the doctor for a final check-up. He had to be sure that the infection she had had was cleared up. Her temperature was normal and had been for several days. In fact, she was feeling fine. As she sat on the examination table so high off the floor she swung her legs and read all the interesting words she could find in the room. (There weren’t many.) Finally the doctor entered the room and greeted the little girl and her mother. He glanced through the chart and then put his stethoscope in his ears. It was cold and tickly on her chest. The doctor listened for a long time, and then listened again. He moved the stethoscope to another position and listened some more. Slowly he straightened up and looked at the mother.

“Mrs. _____,” he said, “I don’t quite know what to make of this, but this child has the healthiest heart I’ve ever listened to.”

The little girl was grinning ear-to-ear when her mother asked, “Do you want to tell him, or should I?”

She looked the doctor straight in the eye and said, “Lots of people prayed for me and Jesus healed my heart.”

“Well,” the doctor replied, “there’s no other explanation.”

From that time on the little girl grew and prospered. Never again has her heart been a source of trouble for her body. She has not one single trace of a murmur.

In September of 1978, God called Grandpa home. The little girl, who was by now 17 and almost a woman, witnessed his death. It was she who found him collapsed on the floor. It was she who called out to the rest of the family to come running. It was she who tried in vain to resuscitate him. He was ready to be welcomed into the presence of his Lord and Master, but the family was unwilling for him to go.

Did God answer the family’s prayers for the little girl’s Grandpa? Yes. He said, “You can have him a little while longer, but a bad heart is a burden he will have to continue to bear.” Did God answer the prayers offered for the little girl? Yes. He said, “Yes.” And her heart was perfect.

Sometimes the little girl wonders why Grandpa had to suffer so much pain and difficulty while she did not. No one but God knows the answer. She thanks God for the 12 “extra” years her Grandpa had to get to know her, and for her to know him. And until the day she dies her answer will be the same as it was that day in a small examination room. “Jesus healed my heart.”

Spiritually I became a new creation when I got saved and on that day I was made perfectly whole also. But I guess that wouldn't be accepted as a miracal for some? I was in terrible pain and waiting for Bartolin(sp?) cyst to swell a little bigger so the doctor could do surgery and mutilate my body so I could just stop the pain. As I lay on a lounger hardly able to walk I listened to Joyce Myers preach on healing. Never had I heard it preached like she preached it. Any how she asked at the end if anyone needed healing to pray with her...well that was me! I started praying with her only I noticed that it was the sinners prayer as I went on my brain clicked as if saying "you don't need this"....I'm so glad I listened to my heart that day because my heart said "I did". I finally got to the point to where I realized I needed Jesus and sumitted that day. But thats not the end of the story.........

One hour later surprizingly the cyst was gone and no more to be bothered with them! I could walk normal and my kids and hubby (when they came home from work and school) was surprized, because I was up and moving and COOKING agian. I agree with Diane when I seen her post. God is good.... all the time, and all the time....God is good!

We had a couple in our SS class that was expecting their second child. From the first ultrasound their appeared to be some abnormalitites in the developing baby. Naturally, they had more than the normal number of ultrasounds over the rest of the term to try and figure out what exactly was going on. The main feature was that the baby's limbs seemed to be several weeks behind in developement compared to where they should have been. Many different theories were put forth by the docs and the general consensus was that it appeared to be a form of dwarfism. They weren't sure because they were no other 'normal' indicators that would have led them to a specific conclusion. Basically the docs could do nothing until the baby was born and they could examine the baby.

Our class prayed over the course of the term,and even up until the last ultrasound a couple of weeks before delivery there had been no change that the doctors could tell.

However, when he was born, all of his limbs were perfectly normal. There was no sign of underdevelopment at all and he was in great health. We firmly believe that God healed him because the doctors were as surprised as anyone!
