Do you know Jack Hyles?

I heard a sermon of him and I liked it but I also heard that there was some sort of scandal around him. Does anyone of you know more about him? Is he a legit preacher?

Hyles, who was pastor of FBC, Hammond, IN is dead. No need to rehash on this board the scandals that surrounded him. A search on Hyles will probably tell you more than you want to know. I say let the man rest.

I was only hoping to get an opinion on wether his sermons are good and can be listened to. Just because he had scandals does not mean that his sermons were wrong or bad. That's what I wanted to find out.

I have read some of his most-promoted sermons and did not think highly of their accuracy.
