I live close to Orlando but I have no intention of attending CPAC. First, it is sold out. Second, $330 for a general admission ticket? Uh...no. Third, many of the past speakers were just pretend conservatives. I did not campaign for Donald Trump in 2016. I worked the phones and went to rally's for Ted Cruz. I had apprehensions about Donald Trump. Those apprehensions never went away, mostly because Trump would follow his great moments by saying stupid things. But when I looked at the whole of Trump's presidency, he not only was right on what he said about the media being fake news and D.C. politics being "the swamp", but his policy decisions were (for the most part) more Reagan-like than either of the two Bush's. So, while I will not be attending CPAC, I will watch Trump's speech. Personally, instead of holding out an olive branch, I hope he torches the GOP. I left the Republican party 5 years ago (I am an Independent). McConnell left his dagger in Trump's back. McConnell, Romney, Murkowski, Kinzinger, Collins et al. are useless for the Conservative cause. Each one of them should be primaried, and I hope Trump calls them all out. I will be watching.

Interesting! My experience pretty much follows yours ‘cept for my registration still shows R, probably changing to I before long. Also no active politicking ‘cept voting.
Went for Cruz in primary, hated to hear Trump speak, but loved his actions.
Plan on listening to him at CPAC, but who knows!:Wink
