Do you still read the newspaper?

Recently I was offered the St. Petersburg Times FREE! for three months. They must be very desperate to keep their circulation up. I used to read the newspaper from front to back but in the past few years or so I get most of my news from the internet. Before moving to Florida I worked for a company that manufactured newspaper related equipment and my wife worked for the local newspaper in our town. My company struggled because of major newspapers inability to afford our expensive Swiss product among other reasons.
Do you still read the newspaper? Do you think it will finally become a thing of the past?

I read the newspaper every day except Sunday - and I've done this since age 13. I grew up in a diplomat's household with parents very aware of current events (part of my father's job).

I find the Sunday paper to be mostly fluff and it costs too much, so I just get Mon-Sat.

I don't like using the Internet for news as the graphics are too much for my computer and it takes too long. Plus, I like reading the paper while eating breakfast, and eating at my computer is not something I enjoy doing.

I don't think regular newspapers will become a thing of the past -- too many people like to read on trains and buses to work, while eating breakfast, or during a break.

==I read local, and national, newspapers online. I think that is the direction newspapers are heading.

I get the statewide newspaper, partially because it's hard to get much arkansas news otherwise, and partially because of the Sunday coupons.

I read the paper daily. If you get your news from just one source, you're almost certainly being misinformed.

Good heavens! The comics are the paper!

I read several papers daily...it takes about 5 minutes alongside my morning coffee at the corner shop. The shop tears off the date, and I get yesterday's paper to-day for free. Did you really think I would pay $2.00 for a daily rag?

    Cheers,

    Jim

PS. I prefer my English rag which comes once a week at £2.00

I like gettin my news from more than one source: Indianapolis Star, USA Today, Chicago Tribune, MSNBC, CNN, ABC, etc. I sometimes read foreign newspapers online, such as Canadian, Australian, French, German newspapers, and others.
