Do you think Jesus weeps today?
Seeing how Jesus is now at the right hand of God Almighty I find it hard to understand how He could be weeping. Being in very nature God Himself suggest that Jesus knows the outcome of ALL THINGS so why would He be weeping? Heck, the scriptures tell us again and again to rejoice and were down here so wouldn't it be contradicting itself if the Son of God wasn't rejoicing?
Take a look at John 14:28 NIV
"You heard me say, 'I am going away and I am coming back to you.' If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.
Doesn't that tell us that since He's with the Father that He's happy now? I mean, why would they be glad for Him if He was going there to weep? It just doesn't make any sense to me.
The reason I bring it up is that a lot of people are going around saying that Jesus is weeping while the above scripture tells us otherwise. Hey, if I was in Paradise you could be sure that I wouldn't be weeping... And like I said, since Jesus is in very nature God it stands to reason that He knows the outcome of everything - so why would He be weeping? Jesus obviously knows that God is fulfilling His purpose and that everything is going to work out - so what does He have to weep about?
I understand that He cares but to say that He's weeping just doesn't sound right to me!
Any feedback would be appreciated...
Thank you!
