Does Anyone know what Joe Biden repented of?

Since Joe Biden walked around Wednesday with a smudge of ash on his forehead, I assume he must have repented of something since:

Ash Wednesday gets its name from the practice of placing ashes on the foreheads of the faithful as a sign of repentance. (from Wikipedia)

Could this possibly mean that he has repented of the sin of supporting the murder of babies?

Oops! There I go not being politically correct.

Let me rephrase it - is it possible that he has maybe changed his mind about the life of a developing infant and has seen that perhaps, just maybe, God does not want us to kill...wait....I just can't seem to put this in words that some people will not find offensive.

Oh, forget it. I'll just say what I really think - Joe Biden is a hypocrite and is going to hell in spite of the ridiculous-looking symbol of his own religiosity he wears on his forehead.

And how do you know personally about Joe Biden's relationship with Jesus Christ? Are you going to tell me that every single Catholic person that follows this Catholic tradition is going to hell? Will there only be Baptists in Heaven?

And is it our job to figure out what this man's repentance is? If he's saved, that's between him and God. If he's not saved, we don't need to figure out what he's repented for - we need to tell him that he needs to come to Christ as his Savior and not the ashes.

Umm, no, I don't know "personally" about JB's relationship with Jesus Christ. I didn't say I do. I said, in effect, that I think he's going to hell because he supports abortion. By their fruit you shall know them.

No, I'm not going to tell you that.

Way to rip Scripture completely out of context to prove a ridiculous point. If you went to any type of bible college you need to demand your money back!

I agree.

Luke 6:41 comes to mind when I read things like this. Why in the world should I be worried or concerned about what Joe Biden is or isn't repenting of?

I believe that EVERY PERSON who just follows a religious tradition, may or may not deserve our respect depending upon how they earned it...........

....................but one thing religious traditions don't have is respect from God.

Therefore, ALL who place their trust in religious traditions are going to hell! That includes any religion, any denomination, Catholic or Protestant or any other kind of religion! If our faith is not firmly planted in the God-man that died on the cross and rose from the grave and will return to rule and reign....... then we're doomed! Only Jesus can save and nothing else!

I once heard Andy Rooney (60 minutes) say that he tended to agree with the pro-life position, but tended to like the pro-choice people better.

You're passion for the lives of the unborn is admirable.

You're choice of words is not.

peace to you:praying:

Not me. I forgot to plant a bug in his confessional.

Certainly anyone how thinks that something they do (works) is going to get them saved is dead wrong. That wasn't my question though. Plenty of people follow these traditions and aren't thinking the tradition is going to save them. Just because someone follows some silly tradition doesn't mean they are going to hell.

Politically correct has nothing to do with it. You're mocking his religion which I consider to be inexcusable.

I think we are allowed to point out RCC errors, in fact, I think we are commanded to. But this thread is nothing more than gossip.

You're right, it neither following the religious tradition or not following the religious tradition which makes us righteous in the eyes of God. It is being washed in the blood of the Lamb of God!

You noticed I neither endorsed Biden as a believer or non-believer because of his religious traditions or his convictions. That Biden had a ashen smug on his forehead evident in broadcast pictures is a fact.... and not gossip. But any meaning derived from his appearance is conjecture and gossip.

But you mentioned traditions....... and another mentioned judgement: And I just wanted to clarify that the destination of the soul is not based upon following after religious traditions but upon faith in Jesus Christ. We give too much importance to tradition by taking notice of it or making it an issue.

Well said. Probably the only sane post in this forum. Remember though, that not just RCC folks observe Ash Wednesday.

Well!

I thought my posts were sane!

And your statement regarding Ash Wednesday mirrors my own thought!
