Does God Give You 'free Will" To make important decisions In Life?

Does God have His "best plan" for your life, but that he still allows you to make "Free will choices?"

For example...
God sees Job A best way to go, you still can pick and do Job B?

does God have "right mate" for you to marry, or does he allow you to make decision, just need to find a mate who knows the Lord?
