what IF we found out that paul did NOT write Hebrews?
that Peter did not author 2 peter?
John did not write Revelation?

Would knowing that matter, are the books still inspired by God, or would actually NEED them to be written by Apostles to be such?

Hebrews...I firmly believe that Paul did not write Hebrews. It doesn't matter to me because the letter doesn't claim Pauline authorship.

Peter...matters. The text claims Petrine authorship, and if untrue, it eliminates the possibility of inerrancy.

Revelation is trickier. It doesn't identify which "John". The author could be John the apostle or another John without endangering the inerrancy of the text. I tend to view the author as the apostle, but I am not dogmatic about it.

Hi JesusFan

You asked..........
“Does ItREALLY Matter IF Authors Assigned To Books Wrote the Books In Bible?”

That is a big “YES”.

Because every book in the Bible is of the same authorship;
And the men that God chose to use to pin His Word, were “pointed out” by God......
Hebrews 2:3-4
V.3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard [him];
V.4 God also bearing [them] witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

This is why they performed miracles.

Another reason why we know this is important, is because for centuries, those who hated God and His Word, have attacked the authorship of Bible Books, in an attempt to cast doubt on the Bible’s legitimacy.

For instance, if anyone can convince us that Moses didn’t write the first five books of the Bible by Verbal Inspiration, than they will have successfully put a doubt in our mind, of the truths that are found their.
