Does poetry writing Count

This may or may not be the right forum.
But I consider writing poetry a ministry.
I am a contributor at a few sites and sometimes
it is hard and frustrating. Sometimes I run out
of things to write about. Someone once suggested
writing about what the world will be like after
the Rapture. I'm not sure I want to.
The most frustrating part is writing a poem
and have no one read it. A poem that doesn't
get any hits. The perverbial lead ball.
Other times I write one that misses the mark
and get told to try again.
Feedback can often times hurt especially if it
comes from non-Christians. I get called a few
nouns with lots of colorful adjectives. My skin
has to be thick.
The most rewarding thing is people who are
touched and ministered to. I realize what I
do reaches people in a similar way that a Pastor
does. I take my writing very seriously for this
reason.
People are influenced by what I write. And I
will ultimately be accountable to God for it.
