Indonesia’s Muslims learned today they have been praying in the wrong direction, after the country’s highest Islamic authority said its directive on the direction of Mecca actually had people facing Africa.

If one does accurately 'moon' Mecca, one is also facing it. Since it is well below the horizon for the large majority of muzzies, the line of sight is curved with the surface of the earth, and eventually gets there, facing or mooning.
