Pepsi facts?

In 1898, Caleb D. Bradham, a New Bern, North Carolina pharmacist created Pepsi Cola, in imitation of Coca Cola.

Pepsi spent a lot of money on an advertising campaign in China with the slogan 'Pepsi gives you life' - the only problem was they got the translation a little bit off - the translation came out 'Pepsi brings your ancestors back from the grave.'

During Nixon's presidency, Pepsi became the first foreign consumer product to be sold in the Soviet Union.

One 12 ounce can of Pepsi Cola contains approximately 39 mg. of caffeine.

Full of caffeine, and a lemony, lime taste to boot!!

It used to be marketed by Coke as Surge. Do you remember that?
But they added more caffeine, and now it is marketed as a soda/energy drink...
I love it.
It also comes in cherry flavor.

Of course I like these too:

shock-a-lots.jpg

Chocolate covered coffee beans...

Taste like M&Ms with coffee...But... Five to six beans contain the caffeine equivalent of 120 milligrams of caffeine! Woohoo!

Thanks for inviting me over, mc! But what if I don't like Pepsi?? I MUCH prefer Coke!! For caffeine, I like my strong British tea.

I don't drink any of the stuff. I doesn't seem to taste for me like it apparently tastes for other people. BUT the purpose of this thread at this point is to see how far past the limit we can get --- so it's turned into a game.

Although I don't think anyone is really watching . . .

Nah,, but it does keep me awake sometimes..
Not all the time...
When I get too much caffeine, I actually get sleepy... go figure.

I also make a coffee, chocolate snack.

Take a bag of chocolate chips... Milk chocolate is prefered... put them in a bowl, melt them in the microwave for 1 minute, stir.. put it in for another 30 seconds.. stir...
Mix in instant coffee... (about a 1/3 cup) stir, and then spread on wax paper... Put another sheet of wax paper on top of the mixture, and roll it out with a rolling pin...

Then while it is still melted, take a knife and score lines in it.
Stick it in the freezer for about 5 minutes, and then take it out and break the pieces up... mmmmmmm Chocolate and coffee!

They taste great on top of Vanilla Ice cream.
