Muslims violently protesting newspaper cartoons of Muhammad should consider their silence toward the frequent slander of other religions in Arab media, the White House suggested yesterday.

"We would also urge people who are criticizing these cartoons to speak out forcefully against all forms of hate speech, including cartoons and articles throughout parts of the Arab world, which frequently espouse anti-Semitic and anti-Christian views," said White House spokesman Scott McClellan.

We had better wake up and realize that the intent of Islam is to conquer the world with their false god and false religion.

Northern Europe is ripe for the picking since they have rejected Christianity and are basically secular.

Jihad Watch Board Vice President Hugh Fitzgerald comments on the State Department's reaction to the cartoon controversy:

What happened is clear: a Danish newspaper, written for a Danish audience, employed Danish cartoonists to make a series of cartoons around and about Muhammad. No one showed Muhammad in flagrante delicto with nine-year-old Aisha. No one depicted Muhammad smiling with evident pleasure at the sight of the lifeless body of the poetess Asma bint Marwan, who had insulted him, leading him to call for her murder. No one depicted Muhammad observing with pleasure the decapitation of the 600-900 helpless prisoners of the Banu Qurayza. No one depicted much of anything, save for a few comic-opera scimitars and, in one case, a turban in the shape of a bomb, and a fuse on that bomb.

The protests are attempting to create a climate of fear to which the non-Muslim world must acquiesce -- in which case the non-Muslim world would have to agree to abide by Muslim demands and standards...

Correction:
that may be the intent of RADICAL Islam.
It is not wise make such broad observations about an entire religion.

When it comes to speaking and writing on unpleasant matters, I learned a long time ago to stop apologizing. It is a waste of my breath, time, and energy to precede every political discussion with "I'm not saying all [X] are [Y]." Or: "Of course, I don't hate all [Z] and please don't misunderstand me, blah, blah, blah."

Liberal guilt is a defect I don't suffer. And, in these times, none us can afford.

Because of this unwillingness to preface my arguments with Kleenex-wetting clauses, I am invariably accused of being motivated first and solely by hatred, bigotry, racism, sexism, whatever-ism--whether the topic is the mechanics of immigration enforcement or national security profiling or the spread of radical Islam.
