Have you hear any latest update on Dr. Tom Malone?

I was a student at Midwestern Baptist College in 1991. I enjoyed heard him preaching often. I admires him very well. He's godly man. He loves the Lord so much. He is now 88.

I would like to know how is Dr. Tom Malone doing? Thanks!

    In Christ

I heard him twice last year once live over the net and once in person at the Nat. Sword Con.
As far as I know he is doing good, and still preaching strong.

Maybe, I would like to attend 'Cross America' conference at Midwestern Baptist College anytime during week after Easter this year.

I have no idea, who's will be the speakers for the conference. Also, I hope they would have an interpreter there. So, I can listen speakers' sermons.

I went to Midwestern Baptist College and my dad was pastor of EMMANUEL BAPTIST CHURCH, the church he started. To be honest, how can I put this...I have very little good to say about him.

From everything I have seen and heard, Dr. Malone is a good, godly man who is faithful to the Lord. No one can please everyone. Even Christ had His share of critics and detractors. There are always a few disgruntled folks regardless of what one does. Furthermore, Scripture specifically says not to receive an accusation against an elder except in the mouth of two or three witnesses.

It seems that someone was asking how Dr. Malone was doing, persumbly healthwise, not your opinion of him. I don't think any of us will be edified by a "gripe about Dr. Malone" session. Read Ephesians 4:29. Whenever someone gripes about another, I usually form a lower the one gripping than the one being talked about. So in short, deal with your problem between you and God. We don't care to hear.

We cannot expect every church is perfect. All churches are no perfect, every churches have problems. Even, Emmanuel Baptist Church have problems too.

Dr. Tom Malone suffered of his church has splited twice. But, he is NOT a quitter. He is faithful servant.

Often, I heard Dr. Lee Roberson said, "I do not know how to quit." I agree with him. He emphasis - 'Rise and fall of the leadership'. He is a faithful servant.

Tenneesee Temple University did suffered split back in the early 1990's. But, TTU still alive and well. Dr. Roberson won't quit till his death or Lord comes. I like his attitude.

I remember, what Dr. Tom Malone emphasis what he said. He said, "DON'T QUIT!" That is his theme of that college. I agree with him.

We cannot expect every colleges and churches are perfect. We are all human.

I respect Dr. Tom Malone well. Even, he is not perfect. Yet, I respect him, because he's faithful to the Lord.

Singing Cop, are you Tom Malone Jr.? The son of Tom Malone?

    Singing Cop,

    I want to make sure.

I know that I heard Dr. Tom Malone's son is missionary.

Probably, I think you mean another pastor, not Tom Malone.

I know the history of Emmanuel Baptist Church(EBC). Dr. Tom Malone have been pastor of that church for about 47 years, Then, he resigns as pastor after church suffered first split in the late 1980's. Then, second pastor was Frank Holman, was my pastor during year 1990 to 1993. He resigned as pastor, I think in 1995 or 96. Then third pastor of EBC, but for very short time. There was second split of EBC in year around 1997. Then, Dr. Tom Malone returned as pastor again for few years. Then, now EBC have fourth pastor in 61 years of EBC.

I want to make sure, that you are the son of ANOTHER pastor of EBC, not Tom Malone's?

    In Christ

Ahhhhhhh!!!! I found out about you. I looked at your webpage. Your last name is Curtman. I heard Dr. Curtman before. I know him! He just left EBC in year around 1996 or 1997 as pastor. That he disagreed with Dr. Tom Malone on that matter of Church leadership system. Several members left EBC and followed him. Several people stayed with Tom Malone.

Once I visited EMB back in 1996 or 1997. I saw Dr. Curtman preaches while Dr. Tom Malone sits in the front of the pews near the puplit.

I ask you, why does Dr. Curtman disagrees with Dr. Malone about the matter of the church leadership system? Why does Dr. Curtman left EBC short time after he became pastor of EBC for only 1 or 2 years?

PM's were sent to answer you questions. First of all. NO members of EBC left and went with my dad. My dad moved out of state. Yes, it's true I have issues. I''ll work on it...I promise [IMG] ! I will not post anymore on the subject here but If any of you have question about beliefs on church leadership - PM me. There is no doubt Dr. Malone is not a quitter. Same can be said of others. I did not mean to discourage any of you. I am so sorry I opened a can of worms. You are right, paidagogs, this was not the place for it. I am sorry I posted anything.

Legitimate questions, but it is obviously not a wise thing to discuss any more publically.
