Driver/Fan Problems

    Has any of you ever had a problem with printer drivers (or other drivers) interfering with normal fan operations?

    I have a Toshiba laptop (2105CDS) and the fan works fine in DOS or in Windows Safe mode, but in in normal operations (using Win98) it has to be almost hot enought to start a fire before the fan kicks in. It has gotten hot enough to lock up on more than one occassion.

    It seems this began when I loaded drivers and fonts for our church's Brother MFC-5100 printer, but I also loaded drivers for a Cannon BJC-2100 and added Norton System Works in the same time frame. It's a curious thing... [​IMG]

    How about it; anyone ever had some program interfere with your fan?
