    To all, Something to share...

    ===================================

    Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

    There are many reasons for serving God. Many motivations and inspiring challenges have been preached and written. Many Christians enjoyed those preaching, inspired them. They serve God for a while but later they quit. They say, “There is no more joy in doing it, no more tingle, no more inspiration. I don’t have the feeling of it anymore”. I should say because of these reasons we find Christians stagnant in the faith, uninvolved in the work. An old Christian thinks he is matured now and his work is just to watch the young Christians do what he did before. What I want to emphasize to you today is not what you might feel, or how I can inspire you but DUTY.

    Your fellow-laborer,
    jon

    Brother Pistos;
    How right you are! Sadly most folks in the western world have no concept of duty. They have been raised and saturated in the "me-first" culture for so long, I fear that duty is no more being taught.
    "Duty to God and country" is an extremist point of view it seems anymore.

    A very wise man once said that "If you have lost your joy, you are carnal" and "If you cannot serve out of joy then do it out of duty" and "Serving purely for duty's sake will return your joy eventually".

    In HIS service;
    Jim

    Thanks Mr.jim... I know this kind of message will go through to our hearts and mind.

    Hope God will give us joy while doing our duties. [IMG]
