not more powerful , but the situation is that in myself I cannot receive the good news until I know the bad news...

A dead person does not know anything other than death, in same way, once I know by Gods grace am dead, by His grace know jesus Christ, than can turn to him and be saved!

The purpose of the op is not to debate good news vs. Bad news, but to discern the greatest desire followed. If God has put into your heart immortality, how is that not a greater desire than anything we can come up with marred by sin?

Could it be that men have the ability to trade the clearly revealed and understood truth for a lie and thus stand without excuse? Naw, that would be too simple. Let's say that they are born without the ability to understand anything spiritual unless effectually caused to do so by God. How does that sound? ;)

or could just say that only Humans that ever REALLY had means to come to God, desiring and doing the "right thing" were Adam and Jesus, and when Adam chose to do "wrong thing/bad desire" we all were condemned to not being able to over the "bad seed" now residing within all of us..

isn't it interesting that Adam, whose nature was without sin and perfect, was still not able to overcome "bad desires" that were in him...

Wouldn't we, persons now inbreed with those "sinful impluses/desires" need to have God be the one to save us today? that unless he choses to step in to save us, we will NOT be able to overcome on our own?
