We have the lists in Timothy/Titus. Where ELSE in the NT does it describe the qulifications or actual/implied work of an elder?

Am trying to compile a list of XYZ that a man must do/reach for the body to consider laying hands on him and ordaining.

For example - one of the job descriptions of an elder is "pastor/teacher" in Eph 4. This implies "shepherding" a flock AND being fully "educated" so he can teach them all things (as in Great Commission).

    Thanks.

Those qualifications point to active leadership which means he must be making disciples.

Teaching is not just mouthing words but actively living them out.
