If that were her choice, then yes. I don't own her, she doesn't own me. We are together by mutual choice.
Did you actually say vows when you got married? If so do you have any idea what they were?
Misapplied scripture to back up your chauvinism and view that females are second-class to males.
More ad hominem and out right lies!
I have never once said that women were second class to males.
In fact I believe that Christian men should treat women BETTER than men.
Ladies should be treated with dignity and respect not due to other men.

I find it rather offensive that you keep bearing false witness against all of us that believe the Bible that there is an order to the home, church and civil governments.

You sir are not only a liar but a bearer of false witness.

Not at all. What I am saying is an teenager doesn't have the experience at intergender relationships to tell me what works in my marriage. I have been married 33 years to a strong, intelligent woman, and it is going fine, TYVM!
And all WE are saying is that God has given to men and women different roles and strengths.
For what it is worth, I do not think that you are a youth hater but if you are to hold yourself to the same standard as you hold others, expect to be called a youth hater.

I am sure ChristianYouth has a lot yet to learn about life (as do I) but since he has been wise enough to read and believe the Bible, he has shown much more wisdom that you have.

Not in those words, you haven't; however your posts have stated that loudly and clearly.

Hmmm...WHO is it resorting to ad hominems? Oh yeah. I see!
Looks like we struck a raw nerve here.

BTW Dale, just because you are of one opinion of correct application of scripture, doesn't mean you are right, or that it is the ONLY applicable interpretation.

No, I have not. You are reading into my posts things I have never said.

No ad hominem about it, I am simply talking about what you HAVE DONE in THIS thread.

Ok, fine. Then please show us (me as well as Rufus and CY) where we are wrong and where you get that the home is an equal partnership from the Bible.
I am sure you can find it in the state code of Colorado but that isn't what we are discussing here.

Kind of like a pet huh?

FWIW, I believe ALL human beings deserve to be treated with dignity & respect, regardless of gender.

Corners! Corners!

You two have fought bravely side-by-side for good causes you know.
Yeah, that is the funny thing. I go around and around with WebDog about calvinism and yet we have been on the same side in a lot of arguments.

Blessed be the peacemakers...you're awesome.

However, let the record show, that one side is good and the other is...wicked.

So do I.
So please show your fellow posters some dignity and respect and do not call them women haters when they are not.

Rufus, You are right, but we do have to be careful in how we take our positions -- boldly, firmly, respectfully . . .

True. And not lying about your fellow posters is a good way to be civil in discussing things.

For starters: Ephesians 5:21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

However, historical context applied, in the times the Bible was written, women were considered chattel. That was society then, and it was wrong. However, Paul was a fallible human being, and in other verses, he is quite uncharitable toward women. Twenty-first Century America is not Rome in the 1st Century C.E.

lol....
I thought of that when he said woman haters yesterday!
If only Alfalfa were here MP could really have a good fight and we could just settle for selling popcorn and beer (non alcoholic of course) to the spectators :D

Whoa....are you correcting the Bible?

No, just not agreeing with an interpretation that ignores the changes in society. Human society is not frozen in time.
Has God's law changed?
Does the law of God that says that the man is the head of the home changed?
Does God change with the whim of men?
