Email question

In Outlook, go to Tools, select Select Recipients, click on a name, click To, select all remaining names by clicking on the first - holding the left mouse button down, clicking on ALL the rest of the names, release the mouse button, click Bcc (Blind Carbon Copy), click OK.

You should now be set, & I think that only the individual name will appear on each person's email; IE no record of the others you sent it to.

Don't know about other than Outlook.

I thought all email had a "to", "cc" and "bcc". Just select "bcc".

 

Um...actually, in some e-mail programs, when you can't see who else the e-mail is addressed to ... click on "Forward." In some cases, this will bring up a list of everyone the e-mail was addressed to.

 

BCC is what you want, it stands for Blind Carbon Copy.. It will send a copy to that email to the person/people you put in the BCC line and their information/email address won't be seen (blind)


If it's something he does on a regular basis he should either set up a group email list or go online to one of the many websites set up for contact lists and such and use that.

 

I agree. I think everyone should use BCC. I usually put my name in the "To" and everyone else's in the BCC. That way I don't show my friends email addys to anyone else.

 

You don't even need to use 'to'...just send it 'bcc'.

90+% of what I know (computer-wise :laugh has been by trial & error, so when I find something that works, I usually stop pursuing that particular problem anymore.

I always sent it to myself in the "TO" and "BCC" from there.

I use gmail exclusively, so that may be a feature of gmail only. Try it with your email and let us know if 'to' is not needed, I'm curious.
