Why should Israel give up the land promised to them by God?

 

It is part of a "two state solution" with a divided Jerusalem that the Bible alludes to in Rev 11:2 and Zech 14:1-2, none to worry though, the Antichrist will only facilitate a short-lived agreement.

Israel has no current right to it due to their disobedience to the covenant and their rejection of the Messiah (Deut 28-30). Israel will be restored to the land when they return to their God.

 

Because that's the Old Covenant. If you want to believe that, fine, just make sure you keep the whole Law.

 

Was God's promise to Abraham conditional ? I didn't know that. God promises Israel much grief for their rejection of Christ, but I don't see their land being taken away by him, in scripture. What am I missing ?

Who's blood was he saved by then? Ludicrous. There is no other name under Heaven by which man MUST be saved. Christ is the redeemer for mankind...both OT and NT.

I have no clue what you think the old covenant was but all salvation from the begining of sin has been a result of the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Why you think abraham was saved under any other covenant is beyond me.

 

Matt 23:37-38 for starters; Paul makes the rejection of the Jews clear in Acts 28 and these Scriptures were fulfilled in 70AD with the destruction of the Second Temple and the subsequent diaspora. The Temple's gone, the Land's gone, Jesus has replaced both.

 

I think verse 39 makes it clear Israel does not have it's land taken away....

39For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Jesus is waiting. God's chosen nation is in need of repentance.

If Israel dissappeared forever in 70AD, then what is the book of Revelation for ? The end times are supposed to have one world government, one currency, one religion, none of that has ever happened.

I reject the replacement theology, if that's what it's called. Israel's land was promised to Abraham forever, not until 70AD.

 

The above Scriptures expicitly state that God will NOT destroy Israel--even though Israel rejected Jesus Christ. After the "time of Jacob's trouble (Jeremiah 30:7), Israel will return to their God. The Abrahamic Covenant is an everlasting covenant. God is a covenant keeping God. There is nowhere in Scripture where God promises the Church a land.

 

Sorry, I'm an Anglican; you'l have to do better than that to convince me. What you say doesn't chime in with the teachings of the early Church
