This is why many left and went to the Eastern Orthodox Church here in America. It was over allowing openly gh3y priests. Basically, some people tried to advance a rule that priests could only have intercourse with their SPOUSE. And back in the early 90's, there was no ssm. Well...the libs vote it down and as a result, many left the Episcopal church. One guy described it as "there's no feeling like having your church disappear in a day....they allowed h#m#s3xuals be priests".

So, these Episcopalians meet in sessions and vote on what their faith is and what they believe. I heard all this from Father Honeycutt, he was an Episcopalian priest who left and became eastern orthodox. He has a podcast and went into this thing in great detail. What I'm saying is that we should expect nothing less from a group that votes on what their core beliefs are. OUR CORE BELIEFS ARE IN SCRIPTURE AND NOT UP TO VOTE.

What a quandary to be in if you are a sacramental traditionalist Christian.

Do you think that the Episcopalians will perform polygamous marriages as well as the s0d0mite marriages that they have now said that they will perform in their sanctuaries?

They caved and will begin gay marriages at advent! What a terrible date to start practicing sin! What is this world coming to?

Every "liberal" church will fall deeper outside of what scripture teaches.

No surprise here. Just look at the most famous or infamous Episcopalian, John S. Spong. It is no wonder to see his denomination follow his anti-scriptural lead. If you don't know who he is just listen to about 5 minutes of one of his sermons or debates on Youtube.

I am thinking that Spong was a maroon--correct me if I am wrong.

The Episcopal Church is now a full-blown cult and I think that they have to be for polygamy as a logical extension of the idea that s0d0my is natural. If a guy can marry anything that he wants, I had planned to marry my job as a means of keeping it but the boss reminded me that Indiana has no-fault divorce....

The preacher I had as a little boy (30 yrs ago) said that this will happen in our lifetimes along with being punished for taking a truly Scriptural stand.

Sorry, but these liberal, gh3y-pandering Episcopalians are NOT a church. Period. I will never call them a church again. We must pray for Spong. Remember openly-gh3y "bishop"Robinson who 'married' another man, then divorced...leaving us with the question: what DOES it take to get kicked out of the Episcopal communion besides being a proponent of the Bible?

Pretty soon, they'll be marrying people to their computers and to animals. I'm sorry if my tone is brash, but how can people read PLAIN SCRIPTURE and think that all this compromise is ok?

I guess all we can do is pray that those leading this mainstream church to see the light of His word and deny this action. Nevertheless, I hold out little hope, as most of the orthodox churches, once pillars of our society and ;ocal communities, are falling to the lure of popularity and the lie of the devil! :type:

I believe Episcopalians "fell" a long time ago, as did Presbyterians. Neither are Christ centered churches. Both have given in to worldly desires and feel good doctrine.

Carpo is talking about the PCUSA and episcopal church (officially known as Protestant Episcopal Church in the United States of Americahttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Episcopal_Church_(United_States)#cite_note-CandC-2 )
Keep in mind that there have been several splits of these two groups.
For example, the Reformed Episcopal Church, Reformed Presbyterian, ect.

A “church” that preaches and blesses blasphemy cannot be a church. Nor can any Christian be a member of it.

Well, in the good ole USA, they can legally be a church, but they certainly do not have the blessings of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The wording does allow for dissent. It will be interesting (and telling) to see which ones refuse to marry and which ones cave in even though they may hesitate.
